I love music of all kinds. But Rush is the only band that I could call a favorite.

  1. Outstanding songs: Clockwork Angels Carnies The Wreckers Caravan Wish Them Well The Garden Headlong Flight Halo Effect Good songs: BU2B Seven Cities of Gold The Anarchist
  2. Thanks! Can never get enough of Geddy videos.
  3. I have to say I expected more, especially after the immensely detailed and beautiful cover we got for Caravan, but the simplicity is growing on me. I don't mind it too much, knowing that it is just waiting to be associated with the music behind it, which will make it look awesome no matter how it looks.
  4. The Big Money The Pass Animate Armor and Sword Open Secrets Anthem Bastille Day Limelight Finding My Way Sweet Miracle Caravan The Twilight Zone Chemistry Jacob's Ladder Roll the Bones Test for Echo Red Sector A Xanadu Hemispheres
  5. Man it was hard to choose between my two favorite epics, Xanadu and Natural Science. But I went for Xanadu. Natural Science is the more philosophical and thought-evoking song, while Xanadu is dazzling, magical, and somewhat tantalizing.
  6. Now that's how a cover should be done! I had never heard of this band before but this could well have turned me on to them. Thanks for posting!
  7. Power Windows screams Rush to me. There's something about the dreamy sound that somehow represents the essence of Rush music perfectly.
  8. "This is something from Signals", always makes me smile. QUOTE (RASH 2112 @ Jan 23 2012, 12:12 AM)I like Geddy's "plain jane" way of speaking between songs. It's usually right to the point with a little splash of humor once in awhile. No time to waste. They are there to play a great show and we are there to take in a great show. Agreed. I think he has the perfect balance between focusing on the music and involving the audience. He doesn't need cursing or even an attitude. His presence is natural, showing what a nice guy he really is. Also, I love his sense of humor.
  9. For some reason, Geddy's vocals on the DVD don't bother me at all until Red Barchetta. I think there's something about his voice these days that suits a lot of songs, but ruins the tranquility of that particular one. I think Tom Sawyer and Limelight sound just fine, however, and Time Stand Still wasn't that bad, though it's definitely worse than it was in Sweden and, from what I've understood, most other locations as well. I don't find any songs embarrassing though. I dig the way Geddy's new voice spices up some of them.
  10. Looks like they're in the right group too.
  11. I guess I can't simply copy and paste the wondefully sad lyrics of Limelight. But of course there's always: Illusions are painfully shattered Right where discovery starts Sadder still to watch it die Than never to have known it
  12. That was weird, and amazing. The Camera Eye in particular is so powerful that Geddy's equally powerful voice feels less prominent. I don't think I fully realised that before. Thanks for posting!
  13. I had no idea so many people liked that album. I like all the songs (Jacob's Ladder is awesome!) except The Trees, somehow I don't feel they do it justice.
