vital signz
QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Nov 14 2011, 05:39 PM) QUOTE (H. P. L. @ Nov 14 2011, 12:18 PM) My dears... what could you possibly know about pizza? You probably never ate a proper one in your life... I'm from New York. I know proper pizza. I have to agree. I have been in New York City exactly one time. I ate at "the best restaurant in NYC" while there, which cost an obscene amount for a meal for two. We had to make reservations 3 months in advance. Which meal do I remember the most? The pizza slice I got at Famous Ray's. Think of your favorite pizza anywhere you have ever eaten (this does not apply to you if you live in NYC!) Then try to imagine it tasting like a cheap beef jerky compared to a filet mignon. I am being totally serious. We had a reservation at a top restaurant for lunch the following day, and we cancelled it and went back to Ray's to get pizza again, and it was every bit as good if not better the second time around. I am jealous that nowhere else in the country can have such places for some reason. I have lived near D.C., the Southeast, New Orleans, and the Midwest, and no pizza even comes close. I love many things about New York. But the thing I love the most(which is kinda worrying), is I can fall out of a bar, approaching dawn or later, and get a great slice of pizza. F*ck breakfast, gimme pizza. I need to go back to NYC.

If you like that wimpy thin shit. Yes, I do like thin pizza. Made properly (meaning, made in NY) it's not wimpy. circumstantial tree
In Boston, the best pizza would have to be Pizzaria Regina in the North End. There's always a long line to get into it. I like Chicago and NY style. To me it's the sauce that determines if pizza is good or not.

I remember going there on my German club high school field trip to Chicago, and it's a pizza experience that has never been surpassed...and I've had a ton of pizza. Later that day, my friend bought two cassettes for the trip home. One of them was Hemispheres, which I heard for the first time. The other was by the Village People. When he put that one in, he was loudly booed and the boom box barely survived the trip.
