We skipped school and went to a bowling alley behind my house and I heard Tom Sawyer, asked them and one of the guys said his SISTER was into them so I begged her for all of her records til I could get them from that 10 records for a penny club LOL!

Watching as I type They are playing freewill right now I got to say that it was worth my time There are actually some things that they do musically that sound as good if not better than what our boys do imo...they take a few liberties here and there and most of the time pull it off in my opinion. Impressed. No one is gonna sound like Ged vocally so not gonna comment other than he wasn't bad. Hope you guys enjoyed as much as I did !

He is who he is.... appreciate his drumming and his role in the band... but he and I see many things very differently. He will never have to worry about me running up to him because of who he is, I am pretty sure I would never want to engage him in a conversation (I gave his books a try lol!)

I know I do not have any pics of me with them anymore :-( My mom threw everything out when I moved out and they downsized. My fault for not wanting to dig through basement... I was introduced to them from my buddy who went on to be a blue man, and somehow knew Jerry. Saw them at the Cubby Bear in Chicago for the first time, had to have been right around OOTSP. Man I wish I had those pics.

Yes we are. and the opening riff In Over my Head.......i Want to sing Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap by AC/DC. you can't tell me you can't sing it to that, lol Mick I can BECAUSE I ignore AC/DC. King's X opened for AC/DC on their FHL tour... Back then we knew dUg and Jerry so we left without ever seeing AC/DC and hung out with the guys on their bus (Chicago).

I have zero problems with this song. I think the problem lies in the listener lol! I think some macho guys just can't "allow" themselves to like it for fear of being a wuss. IMO it proves the range of what they were capable of even at the beginning, and growing up as a fan of LOTR, there are/WERE times when I get lost in the song. I think it captures the feel of the journey that the books take you on pretty well.

What would be a cool collaboration? I'm still thinking but I'm interested in where Ged might go if still in the game! Put together a lineup. I'm good w/ Ged on bass, but time to retire from vocals. so my "Dream Team" would at least be him on bass, but I'd put a new person on vocals. And before the haters hate, been a fan since 9 (1981) and 44 concerts across the USA. IF they are done and Geddy wants to create then I wish him the best and would buy instantly, imo he can do no wrong. Ged, Bass, etc Vocals, ? Drums, ? Guitar, ? What do you think would be interesting??

sometimes at the outro of a song when he is just noodling around my jaw drops, some really beautiful stuff there... but imo hemispheres is just plain inhuman

mine took forever to load in my bluray player, then after it was over it wouldn't eject! Not happy. never had these issues with any other bluray.
