My favorite performance by Crowe, what I consider to be Pacino's most underrated performance and it's my favorite of Mann's films. Great movie that addresses journalistic integrity and morals/ethics. It was pretty good. http://i.imgur.com/zjqQ4GS.jpg This film was very good until the last 20 minutes when they took Halle Berry off on her own investigation for the killer and here's where it went off into the realms of silly bullshit. A 911 operator who doesn't call 911 once she finds a serial killer's secret underground lair and she has her phone right there in her hand? And the ending itself was not believable, or credible at all, just plain dumb. If you watch this just watch the first 70 minutes or you're going have sore eyeballs from all the eye-rolling you'll do.
