H. P. L.
http://www.pisa-movies.de/s/cc_images/teaserbox_23900215.jpg?t=1415959865 I love submarine movies so I had great expectations for this one. Aside from Law calling everyone "Laaaaad", it has a good first half and a gripping second half, even if some developments are quite called in. The finale ruins it anyway. Really bad. invisible airwave
http://i61.tinypic.com/243kej9.jpgI thought this one was terrible, a confused mess. I had to quit after an hour and it had been hard for me to last that long. People had the same problem with Master as well. I actually saw that twice and it improved. I'm not sure a 2nd viewing will improve it, though. It's actually the least well received of PTA's movies with a 72% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Hey, some of the greats stumble once in a while. Scorsese had (IMO) Color of Money, Spielberg had 1941 and the Coens had Ladykillers. Edited March 12, 2015 by invisible airwave

Tombstone Mountain
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/d7/Jayne_Mansfield%27s_Car.jpg Not even released in theaters. Worth the 12 bucks on DVD just for the individual acting bits. Pretty sure the studios went through the same thing Mercury records did when they heard 2112 for the first time. The critics liked this film just about as much as any of his others, only the audience score is slightly lower and I attribute that to how this movie was marketed. I'm expecting another average PTA film (PTA's "average" being good ;) )
treeduck
http://i.imgur.com/AGZH3T4.jpg That's a great one, I'll watch it again some day.The ending is really good too, it's almost set-up for a full-on free swinging serial killer sequel, but it's left to your imagination and that's better. It's like they leave you with a seed of sinister dread in the your mind. Superficially speaking it's like a cross between Psycho and Silence of the Lambs but has an original tone all it's own. It's sad as you gradually realise the woman is doomed even though you still hope she gets away, and sad too to watch a guy slowly become a monster when he still might have steered away from that particular cliff, but with her death he falls over the edge and then at the end you're not sure if he was just thoroughly evil from the beginning. Maybe Thomas Harris got some of his ideas from this one or the novel. Certainly the guy's fascination with butterflies and moths came way before Harris.

Thus starter well, but towards The end it went into afternoon, made-for-tv territory. A rare case where everyone is acting quite well, but the story is too sappy. Carácter development is null here as wel...
