Rush Record Collection

Yeah, I'll fess up and say in my first post that it's been about 3 weeks since I actively got into Rush. Not since Floyd have I been so immersed in a band, after watching Beyond The Lighted Stage and falling in love with song after song ever since.

Having just gotten a turntable, I've been purchasing many records and immediately seeked out some Rush vinyl. I'm sure there MUST be a thread here about Rush vinyl collections, I can't seem to find one though, so I figured I'd just post?

I currently have:

Caress Of Steel(UK First Pressing, Deluxe Gatefold)

2112(as above)

A Farewell To Kings(as above, though all 3 aren't in amazing condition)

All The World's A Stage

Exit...Stage Left

Permanent Waves

Moving Pictures

Signals

I have pictures of them all as I have an album up on Facebook of my whole collection, but you've all seen em before. What does everyone else have? I'm really looking for a good copy of Hemispheres(La Villa is my favourite song -so far-)

Luke

Nice, you've all got some sick collections, I REALLY want Rush and Hemispheres more than anything. My local record shop has a lot of great buys, although all my favourite bands are always under Collectibles and more expensive(80 quid for The Who's Tommy...whaaat) but I found they had a Rush section in the normal section of the shop, and there were loads relatively cheap. They all play pretty nicely too. Mostly between 5 and 10 pounds. Lets just say I'm kind of glad Rush aren't as huge as Pink Floyd and The Who haha, cos those are my other two favourite bands and their records are alot more pricey

I don't know about pressing info, but I have everything from s/t through Presto, except for A Show of Hands.

Hemispheres is the picture disc version, and I have it framed on my wall. The rest are "normal" versions.

2.gif - Mercury buildings label with pink logo; Mint smile.gif

Fly By Night - buildings label w/ lyric sheet; chimes run out groove side 1; Very Good: tear on spine, lenghty scratch/pop on side 2

Caress of Steel - 1st press; Very Good: cover wear, minor surface noise

2112 - 1st press; Very Good: cover wear, minor surface noise

All The World's A Stage - 1st press; tri-fold cover; Mint 1022.gif

A Farewell To Kings - 1st press; Mint cool.gif

Permanent Waves - 1st press; Mint (found it SEALED almost ten years ago now...unfortunately my cat managed a minor scratch to the spine angry.gif )

Moving Pictures - 1st press; Very Good: cover wear, minor surface noise (for some reason all the covers of this very flimsy; I've come across a few copies of this where 'Tom Sawyer' fades in)

Signals - 1st press; Mint (again all the covers of this are so flimsy)

I got my copy of Presto for $1 at a flea market about a year ago... in pretty nice shape too. So they are out there if you keep looking!

I got a working turntable for my birthday this year, and so far I have:

Rush

Caress of Steel

2112

A Farewell to Kings

All The World's A Stage

Power Windows

A Show of Hands

I also had Fly By Night, but it was really warped so I melted it into a bowl. Except for Rush and ASOH, I found them all at a record/cd sale for a dollar a piece, and in decent condition. Every time I check the local record stores, though, the Rush sections are empty. sad.gif

I want Vapor Trails, Counterparts, and RTB (Gasp) to complete the vinyl collection. I would love it if they put out T4E, but I know it is unlikely.

I have the original vinyl of Rush through Signals. After that I was in the military and got them on cassette for easier storage and travel. All my cassettes are long gone. I had most of the original cds, but sold them when the remasters came out. Currently I have all the remasters and current cds. I have a couple of vinyl singles from the 1980s (New World Man/Vital Signs Live & The Big Money/Red Sector A Live). I have a promo cd single of One Little Victory. I also have all the videos on Blu Ray (where available) and DVD. Nothing too exciting or rare, but all treasured.
