Maybe they don't care if they are being recorded/videotaped by the fans, but they might care if the one doing the bootlegging is getting in the way of other fan's view of the show or just being a dick about it.

I think I read in one of Neil's books that he dosen't mind the occasional photos being snapped at the front of the stage, but it does bother him when it's one after another, after another, after another....

After awhile it's overkill to them.

 

And they might be trying to protect their professional photographer friends jobs a bit. Some of the fan photos that I've seen are just about as good, if not sometimes better, than the pro's photos. It's all about location and timing.

Alex is a pretty friendly guy who likes to joke around at shows but it's a business too and he knows that other people paid to see the show and shouldn't be denied the experience by Joe Blockhead who is illegally filming the show anyway.

Looks to me like he's shouting at the 2 girls in front. he shouts something twice at them, and at 1:03 shouts something to someone at the side of the stage. Everyone around has a camera of somekind, why isn't he bothered with them? I think someone was shouting insanities constantly. There's a security guy right in front doing nothing (from one of the other Vids). Why isn't he doing nothing?

I just see them using a cell phone though, and they give him a thumbs up after he tells them to "shut it down"

 

 

really weird, I wish someone who was at that show (and by Alex) could clear this all up.
