  1. I've not seen one pic of video clip where Al appears to be enjoying himself this tour. Night and day from CA tour. Neil looks to be about the same and I get the feeling that Geddy is working hard to compensate and pull Alex through the show. I really hope he can make it through the rest of the dates. I assume seeing the fans this happy and the 500k a night gross will help.
  2. Awesome. Some of the Twitter feeds made it sound like the encore songs were medley. Very happy to know they played them in their entirety!
  3. Did Ged sing the songs in the encore medly or were they instrumental? Did he sing Prelude? Also was Working Man au natural or reggae'd up?
  4. I think he and Alex both have screens that will not only feature random video but will actually project realistic images of amp stacks they would have used through various eras. Let me know what I won tomorrow night and no I never signed no damn nda.....
  5. So assuming this is a straight CD rip, someone either trimmed the intro off of two songs, or zipped it up 2 tracks short. Weird. Neither anarchists or bu2b2 have any noticeable intro. I would assume those are the parts Neil recorded his voice for.
  6. Didn't see this covered anywhere in this thread. What happened to the Pedlar 1 and 2?
  7. i'm putting my money on signals with the orchestra... second set... maybe they hang for a few more songs after that... call me crazy, but i think swapping out all the synth strings for a full orchestra is going to be crazy awesome... the chorus on analog kid will put arm-hair on end...
  8. QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Nov 9 2011, 10:53 PM) QUOTE (napoleonj @ Nov 9 2011, 10:09 PM) Just a heads up.. I was disgusted with the audio/ video sync on this Bluray. Just out of curiosity I turned up the volume on my TV (which is connected by hdmi) and it was in perfect time. I turned up the tv and receiver at the same time and it sounded like the grateful dead... My receiver is connected to the Bluray player by optical connection. Something about this particular video exacerbates the usual minimal delay between these two source connections. Time to buy an HDMI receiver, but the editors were not huffing paint. Cheers. My Blu-ray player is connected via HDMI to the receiver, which is connected via HDMI to the HDTV. Most of the video and audio is in sync, with only some isolated shots of Neil (that I've noticed so far) being out of sync. As I said in another thread, if the whole video were out of sync, or at least a big section of it, it might be more easily explained. Isolated shots of the drummer is hard to explain. Gotcha. So I'm assuming if you turned up the audio on your tv, the receiver audio is identical.. I guess once I solve my bigger issue I can see the isolated shots your referring to. Really strange as I don't have this big of an issue with any other Bluray in my collection.

  10. thanks for the information folks!! i've been curious about this for a while. tomorrow night in (near)portland!!!
  11. has anyone notice that geddy has an additional mic on his stand... it's really low. like knee level. what's it for? he and alex both have an additional shock mount about midway up on their stands but i can't tell if there are mics there too. are they pumping in crowd noise to the mains or micing their crotches?
  12. here's my Sherlock guess. if he did know the guy she was with (as the youtube comments indicate) in a casual "LA in the-biz" sense, he may have hooked them up with great seats... maybe the fact that she being drunk and annoying really bugged him since he knew she was distracting people who paid to get in to the show...
  13. whatever is was it seems to have started earlier... check out :52 looks like he's saying "sit down" which seems weird to me. who wasn't standing?
  14. Hi. I apologize if this has been covered previously, but I couldn't find it. It's been said repeatedly that the band never uses a click track live. However, through out the entire show they trigger samples that are rhythmic in nature (guitar lines, entire vocal segments, etc.). How can the band control the tempo at which these extended samples play if there is no guide tempo track being sent to any of them or at least to Neil? I'm curious what some of your thoughts are as I haven't ever heard any of them discuss this in an interview. Can't wait for the new tracks and the new tour!
