  1. LP was my favorite band from my late childhood/early teen years up until mid 2009, right before I graduated from high school, when I discovered the very band this board's based on and they took that spot. But they continued to take a special place in my heart and still do. Chester's death had the biggest effect on me than any other celebrity death in quite some time. Their discography will never sound the same to me again. I just hope and pray that his family and friends can find some peace, even if it's never gonna be 100%. R.I.P. Chester, you are forever an icon.
  2. Ah, this is tough, but I'd love to have: -Xanadu -La Villa Strangiato -Natural Science -Losing It -The Big Money And hey, don't hate on Madrigal.
  3. Oh hell yes, I was SO excited when I saw this on the RB forums. I am so glad that they're giving us the option to play it in its entirety as one song, too. Definitely buying it as soon as it comes to the PlayStation store next week.
  4. It's DEFINITELY live. If you're referring to this video about the fake crowd: That's cause GH/RB have fake crowd audio playing on all of the songs. Most of the time they're louder than crowds from live recordings if the song being played is a live version.
  5. I'll shed some light on the TSoR mystery: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spirit_of_Radio In the article, it says this: "An unreleased live version of the song is featured in the video game Guitar Hero 5. This version is taken from a live performance at the Apollo in Manchester, England on June 17, 1980, on the Permanent Waves Tour." Since the version RB3 got is pretty much the exact same one from GH5, I'll have to take Wiki's word for it. Perhaps someone with a boot of that show can confirm it for us? Anyway, AWESOME pack. All the songs were awesome to play on drums and vocals. I have yet to play them on Guitar/Bass/Keyboards but I'm sure they're just as awesome on those (maybe not as much on keys on TSoR but meh).
  6. I find myself listening to the P/G Tour version of Spirit of Radio more than the studio version. I just love that version more. Also, I love this version of Bravado very much:
  7. I call drums! (I'm a PS3er, just so ya know...hope there are others)
  8. So excited for this, and the fact that there's gonna be more Rush on the way. Of the three this week I'm actually really excited for Caravan, but the other two songs are still gonna be hella fun.
  9. inb4PLAYREALINSTRUMENTS Yeah it's a rumor at the moment but man I really hope this is true, and if true I hope they let us play it straight through with no interruptions. It'll easily be my most favorite DLC for Rock Band this year if it comes out before the end of the year.
  10. I seriously don't get the love for the talking parts in Double Agent. IMO, a decent song ruined by those spoken word sections. They're so cringe-worthy. Maybe it'll grow on me in the future, I have no idea, but for now...bleh. The rest of the song is okay, though. As for the rap, I love that part far more than the spoken words on DA, even if it's just as silly.
  11. This is a tough one...but Animate has to go down. It's just not quite on the same level of awesomeness as everything else on the list.
  12. Well, actually, the vocals sound like a different take than the one that's heard on the album version. Listen to the lines "...or the misfit so alone," and "...the restless dreams of youth". The way Geddy sings them on the vid you put up sound a bit different than the album version. There are other instances like this in the vocals on your mix. Here's the RB release of the song: Sorry, I just love pointing out little things like this sometimes.
  13. I'm assuming these are ripped from the Rock Band release of Subdivisions, as the vocals are entirely different from the original album version. It's real nice to hear those instruments and Ged's voice so clearly.
  14. I use Witch Hunt (from "Those who know..." to a few seconds after "...save us from ourselves") for when friends call, and the intro of Tom Sawyer (up to "...mean, mean pride") for when family calls. I'm thinking about changing one or both soon, though.
  15. ...and Alex shot himself during the performance, while Geddy broke into tears and Neil...just kept playing.
