garbo
This specific edition because I'm willing to admit I need all the help I can get when it comes to Faulkner. Plus I love Norton and buy the Norton Critical editions for all of my favorite books for the spiffy articles. http://lindajomartin.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/the-sound-and-the-fury-william-faulkner.jpg
CMWriter
Just read Elie Wiesel's Night. Wow, what a powerful read. I talked a little bit about it on the "What Made Your Day?" thread, but it's certainly short and quick to the point. Wiesel didn't sugarcoat anything in this memoir. I have the second revised translation (all my school got) but from what I read in his foreward it's supposed to be clearer than the original translation. It's so much more than just the Holocaust. It's humanity. I know I say this about everything I read, but it's a must. I finished it in a couple hours, but I was practically shaking. Wow. Just.. wow. Finding IT
QUOTE (Force Ten @ Mar 13 2011, 09:30 AM) To Kill a Mockingbird - Harper Lee, for GCSE English Lit. I'm so glad to see so many folks reading To Kill a Mockingbird. It is one of our greatest treasures in the English language. The fact that Lee wrote only one novel is an equally great tragedy. Just my opinion, of course. Edited March 22, 2011 by Finding IT
