  1. If we are judging tracks from Grace Under Pressure and forward, HF is definitely in my top five. Over the course of the entire catalog? In my top 20.
  2. The Geddy autograph appears to be a fake - which makes me question the authenticity of the Neil autograph. Did you request the autographs yourself, or are you not the original owner?
  3. I loved the show, too. Also, I really loved the idea of releasing the entire season at once.
  4. After watching the first video I immediately thought of this. Ditto!
  5. Front row - just left of center. April 28. 2013 - Amway Center - Orlando, Florida
  6. As I understand it, the earlier you order, the better the seats. We went to the Orlando show. The VIP package was ordered about 20 minutes after they went on sale. On the day of the show, we picked up our tickets at the VIP window at the Amway Center box office. We opened the envelope, and it said "Section F1 - Row A." We didn't know if that meant the first row or row 10. About 45 minutes later, when the doors we opened, we went right to the usher on the floor. He took us to the the very front row - just to the left of center. Most amazing Rush and concert experience ever!
  7. Jim Gaffigan Lewis Grizzard Jerry Clower Mitch Hedberg
  8. Woot! My swag should be waiting for me when I get home!
  9. Did you notice that the metal detectors were unplugged?
  10. Oh you must have been right in front of me. Was one of your group always running off for drinks? I was in a Vapor Trails work shirt. One thing I noticed is that Security didn't care how much you taped. The guy next to me probably taped the whole concert. In Tampa if you held up a camera for more than 30 secs security was on you. The only thing I didn't like is how flat Neil's snare sounded the first set. Once Gump tuned it up during intermission it was right on which is good as I ordered one exactly to Neil's specs from DW (different color but it is even being made by the same guy) and I was starting to regret it. We were right next to that group - but yeah, that group was indeed a thirsty crew! One guy in the crew was a guitar collector. My brother-in-law was listening to his list of guitars that he owned then said "I only have one." The guy asks which one. The brother-in-law points up to Alex and says "that one." - The Black Alex Lifeson Signature Edition Gibson Les Paul. The guy almost made his pants a fecal containment system. I noticed Neil's snare, too. Gump (as usual) cleared things right up! Alex was having trouble with his amps. Heard him saying "Bring the Lerxst up, everything else down." In the 2nd half of the show, loved seeing Neil in a playful mood. Honestly, I didn't know the guy had teeth until he smiled (just kidding, of course).

  12. I was in the first row just left of center. MUCH better than the Tampa show this past November. I'll post some pics after they get off my phone.
  13. I started getting over hearing Tom Sawyer at every show - instead, I use it as a time to watch the crowd. Watch the first timers - see the joy on people's faces as they air drum, play air guitar, etc. I started enjoying it again!

    The Garden

QUOTE (GeddyRulz @ Jun 15 2012, 03:46 PM) QUOTE (Ya_Big_Tree @ Jun 15 2012, 03:33 PM) QUOTE (treeduck @ Jun 15 2012, 02:20 PM) Here we are again with the RUSH R.I.P. speculation... I suppose you'll be pissed off if they produce another album. Nah I'd love it if they kept making awesome music like this. But I'm a realist. They are getting older and I think they may wanna end on a fantastic note... But if they kept going like this I'd be a very happy kitty. I'd like more, of course, but: 1. Time isn't on their side. 2. They'll want to go out with their strongest stuff, and Clockwork Angels will be hard to top. 3. "The Garden" is a classy farewell; myself and others could still be happy if this were the goodbye. Just sayin'. + 1

  16. QUOTE (danielmclark @ Jun 10 2012, 08:49 AM) QUOTE (presto123 @ Jun 10 2012, 03:44 AM) CA is way better than 2112. All it takes is more spins and more familiarity. 2112 was an important record in the bands history for sure but it has weaknesses. CA has few weaknesses once you give it a chance to sink in. I never would have believed it. This record just gets better and better the more you spin it. Agreed. CA is better than 2112. I've listened to the CD twice completely. 2112 is full of nostalgia now. Clockwork Angels is very sophisticated. Maybe it is just the "newness," but I am inclined to agree. CA is better than 2112.

    One more day!

Just got mine in the mail. Amazon got it to me a day early!
  18. It would be an awesome pay-per-view Evel Knievel type event to watch the boys jump a shark!
  19. QUOTE (RushFanForever @ Mar 1 2012, 10:36 AM) Canadian metal band Artok include a cover of Rush's Subdivisions on their latest CD Above Ground, released in late 2010. The cover is particularly interesting because of the vocal harmonies and the fact that the keyboards are replaced by guitar. You can watch a video of the band performing the track on YouTube here, and find out more about the band on their website here and on Facebook. The 'Above Ground' album can be purchased at the following links below: CDBaby Amazon The band has been around since 1983 according to here. Also there's an older live video of 'Subdivisions' here by the band from the 80's era as well. I like it. Subdivisions, when covered, can be an absolute disaster. I had always thought that Jacob Moon did a great cover. Now I can Artok to the list!
