When they rescheduled San Jose, I canceled my tickets and picked up some tickets for Oakland. I hope you got seats further back from the stage and not up front. The Owl Posted May 4, 2012 Share Posted May 4, 2012 I loved the show, the production values were second to none, and it was nice to see the the original Gerald Scarfe animations mixed with the new projections and new technology that has developed since the 80s. The projections were astounding. As far as the lip syncing goes, I was far away and did not notice it much, but it seemed like the only time he did do it is when he had to "act" I.E the moments like with "In The Flesh" (both parts)... and "Waiting for the Worms" (the megaphone part) when he was in the full costume... Other than those I think it was him doing the vocals for the show, no syncing. I did have some favorite moments (aside from the whole show, small show spoilers ahead in this paragraph), In "Mother" Roger had a video going of him from the Wall tour in 1980 projected on the wall, and he sang a duet with his younger self...pretty cool, and in "Vera" the projections were of videos of children being surprised by fathers and loved ones back from the military... this moment in particular made me tear up a bit, and got a huge response from the audience.. One bad thing is that I did not bring my camera (my point and shoot) and all I had was the camera on my cheap phone...Ill share some of the better ones a bit later, but I wouldn't expect much. I have always wanted to see Waters (or any member of Floyd for that matter, as I have never had the opportunity so see him (or any other member) live before).... And before the show, part of me was wishing I could see Waters live "regularly" where he did a full show of his solo mixed with Floyd material....I.E just a regular show.... and while I do still wish to see Waters or Gilmour in that "regular concert vein" I feel treated that I got to see this production of The Wall...
