Can't believe it. I'm devestated. Grew up listening to The Eagles. So glad I got the chance to see them live in Toronto back in 2013, great show! The man may have been egotistical at times, however he was still responsible for quite a few great and memorable songs, with The Eagles and in his solo career. RIP :(

BIG Bond fan here!! I grew up watching all these films, and have all of them. It's hard for me to pick one fave, but in a pinch I will say The Spy Who Loved Me. I really feel like that's Roger Moore's best Bond film. So many great locations, sets, great bad guys (Jaws in particular), and a pretty darn hot Bond girl. Oh yeah, and that car/submarine thing! A few underrated Bond films I'd like to give a nod to are For Your Eyes Only, which IMO is Moore's last great Bond film/convincing performance. By Octopussy and especially A View To A Kill, he was simply too old to pull of a physical role like Bond (he was 57/58 when A View To A Kill was released). Licence To Kill I feel doesn't get mentioned enough in the Bond world. Timothy Dalton played a VERY gritty Bond, pretty damn close to what Ian Fleming's version in the books was. Also, the movie was VERY intense, kept quite a serious tone throughout the whole duration, probably one of the most, if not the, most violent movie in the series. I have seen a few comments in this thread about the one sole film which George Lazenby played Bond, On Her Majesty's Secret Service. While his performance as Bond may not have been the greatest, I think as an overall package it is one of the best Bond films out of all of them. Great action scenes, the mountaintop scenes in Switzerland are breaktaking, also the storyline is very strong, and quite frankly, one of the most important out of the entire series. Bond's wife's death is something that affected him in quite a few movies afterwards.

He played a rehearsal pre-tour gig on the 5th in Brighton, England. I won't post any setlist spoilers out of respect for those going to see him, but if that setlist sticks throughout the tour, you're all in for a treat!!! :) Really wish I could catch one of his Toronto shows in March/April. The tickets went REAL quick, and I couldn't find anyone to go with me unfortunately.

No problem!!! I'm kind of glad I didn't shell out the kidney and right kneecap to go see them in Toronto this tour. Tickets were quite expensive compared to the 360 tour. I saw on Ticketmaster they were charging $300 for nosebleeds at the ACC. Too steep for me that's for sure!

I'm a fan of U2, like a lot of you I also tend to stick to the earlier stuff up to about Achtung Baby, outside of a few songs here and there. I was online today checking out setlists and the set from their dress rehearsal a few days ago is posted online, and I must say it's pretty disappointing IMO. I 100% agree, they do have a HUGE amount of very well-known songs that would disappoint the masses if they were not played. That said though, I have to say I like this setlist better than the Black Ice Tour. Apart from Dog Eat Dog, you didn't really have any deep album tracks. On this one it seems the band is making more of an effort to throw a few of those tunes in like High Voltage, Have A Drink On Me (a overlooked gem from the Back In Black album), and one of my faves from their best album Powerage, Sin City. It's also good they have mixed up the song order better than they have. For example, having Shoot To Thrill at the beginning of the set when Brian's voice is fresher. He struggles more often than not with that tune nowadays. I often think that they could MAYBE get away with dropping or rotating a couple of the old warhorses. Like Shoot To Thrill, Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be, or even Rosie. But I can see why they don't, especially at this stage of the game for them. Hard to believe Brian is gonna be 68 this year, and Chris Slade who is back on the skins for the tour (and likely for the long-term future too), is gonna be 69!

They had a tour booked over here in some pretty big venues (arenas mostly), however tickets were selling at a snail's pace so the band pulled the plug, and stuck to Europe. Mike and Tony have stated over the years that after that happened, they didn't have the energy to keep on the album/tour/album/tour cycle to make it work, so they called it a day. Ray really did get the short end of the stick. And I love both eras of Genesis, they are my favourite band of all time, however I find myself listening to the Phil years more often. Did they go poppy? Yes, they did, but the quality of the songs is undeniable. Some overlooked gems on those latter-years Phil Genesis albums!! I'll say it again too. It's not like gabriel era didn't have pop in it, lol Mick Exactly, probably the best example of Gabriel-era pop is I Know What I Like.

They sounded great!!! Phil Rudd may be out of the picture, but Chris Slade is a monster on the skins. Can't wait for them to announce a North American tour!

The band is playing at the Grammy's this Sunday evening. Rumors running strong that Chris Slade will be with them for the show, and possibly the upcoming tour as well.

Hello all, I went and saw Queen with Adam Lambert this past Monday at their final North American tour date in Toronto. I have to say that if you missed this tour, then you really missed a special show. Adam Lambert is no Freddie, but he is a great singer, and does a great job bringing his own flare to these classic songs. Brian and Roger of course still have it and were rock solid all evening. Great show!

I have a credit card, and I'm sad to say, have a pretty large balance on it. Living in my own making barely more than minimum wage in Ontario is not an easy thing to do, so in times of need its quite useful. I'm not an idiot about the large balance, I realize this can affect my credit rating pretty substantially, but I ALWAYS put money on it at least every month, or whenever else I can. However, when I have no money to buy any groceries, I'd much rather use the VISA than not eat at all. My car will be fully paid off come the end of July, so my plan is to put the payments I normally would on my car, onto my credit card, and then have it paid off by the beginning of next year.

I know how that feels! I have been job searching and applying to places for a while now, and every job I come across that peaks my interest seems to say the same thing. Stuff along the lines of "2-3 years of experience preferred" or some type of pre-requesite that I don't have. I have worked at a movie theatre for the last 5 years, even having roughly a year of experience as a manager there under my belt, it's just time for me to move on to something else. It's time to get serious about my future financially, and living on my own money is really tight with that type of small salary I do pull in. I can't afford to go to school at all, and without a different job, I'm stuck where I am sadly.

Saw this on Saturday night and loved it! I have to say the movie itself has held up very well over the years, and the 3D conversion was fantastic and very well done. Probably one of the best 3D conversions I've ever seen (out of the movies re-released in 3D that I've seen). Well worth the extra few bucks this time around!!

After seeing them 5 times already, and being pretty short on cash this time around, I was fully intending on skipping the boys Hamilton date this July. However, my uncle decided to surprise me and get me tickets for my birthday which was a very nice gesture!!!

The Stones are heading back on the road this year for their "50 And Counting" tour. Anyone getting a second mortgage on their house to buy some tickets? I'm going to see The Eagles in July in Toronto and for that gig tickets range from 65 to 200 bucks per seat. A little steep if you ask me, but I just got a few of the 65 dollar tickets, which isn't bad at all. However, the Stones for their Toronto shows (I imagine all the gigs cost around the same) are charging anywhere from 166.50 to 625 bucks PER SEAT. :o I haven't even bothered looking at the VIP prices. Outrageous prices, and I take back anything I ever said about The Eagles and their prices lol. The sad thing is, Mick and the boys will sell out the gig, and have already added multiple dates in various cities.

Considering Rush drew around 80,000 people when they played this festival about 3 years ago, you might as well get your ticket, and head to Quebec now to be safe :P

The easiest guess is to say they will probably play Toronto and Montreal again. Maybe Quebec City instead of Montreal this time around? I really can't see them playing Toronto again, because they already played 2 dates there back in October, and also Hamilton is a very short drive from Toronto. Very accessible for those from the TO area wanting to see them. I could see them doing Ottawa since they skipped there on the last leg.

You just beat me to posting this!! :P This is great news, I wonder if they will switch things up and release the DVD before the start of the second leg next year, as opposed to the CD version (like the Snakes tour)?

Money. Struggling to get by lately. I was interviewed for a job a few weeks ago that I felt went pretty well, but lo and behold I get a letter in the mail yesterday saying I didn't get it and they "wish me the best in all my future endeavors". Just gotta keep applying to different places.
