Mara
Not me. Don't care. Never have. Don't care about the clothes, who shows up with whom, and don't care about celebrity gossip.
rushgoober
Despite the deep cynicism many have towards the Oscars, I love 'em!

Don't care about the clothes, who shows up with whom, and don't care about celebrity gossip. Same here: another showcase for fragile egos, false smiles and plenty of luvvy backslapping. librarian
Can't watch it as Cablevision and ABC-TV Channel 7 in NY are in a $$$ dispute and Cablevision yanked the ABC off the air and I believe Disney as of midnight last night. So stupid.

Tick
I almost always watch the opening monologue. That seems to be the best water cooler topic the next day, and its usually the only truly entertaining part of the show.
treeduck
Seems like Oscar night is a bigger event for Hollywood these days than 99% of the films they produce...

RUSHHEAD666
I'm pumped for BASTERDS! Glad it just won for Best Supporting Actor! I love Tarantino and justice will be served tonight ever since he got screwed for "Pulp Fiction." "Pulp" was up for a bunch of Oscars only won one for "Best Script." What a bunch of bullshit. I really don't care for the Oscars but now I am pulling for Tarantino all night long! I think Martin and Baldwin are doing well.

Celine
Just a thought: If you're nominated....write an acceptance speech!! (Save us all the pain of watching you stumble through your shock). Martin and Baldwin are entertaining (begrudgingly complimenting Baldwin)....but so far the rest of show is zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
