trenken Posted November 17, 2009 Share Posted November 17, 2009 Hard to decide. I loved these songs when I was a kid, but now they sound a bit corny to me. I guess its the awful lyrics that turn me off. The music and melodies are fine. I guess those kinds of lyrics were "in" at the time, but now they sound so ridiculous to me. But ya, both songs evolved out of the same basic structure (the working man solo), and segue into each other almost seamlessly. No coincidence they are polled against each other. Oy... which is better... the ATWAS version of By-tor is very impressive, but Necromancer has no official live release, and in most boots its joined with By-tor. Necromancer, when it gets good, is better than By-tor, more or less. But ya, its bogged down by alot of boring narration. OVERALL, By-tor, but by a very thin margin.
