The Panthers will earn a wild card spot and I say this with a straight face... GO ALL THE WAY. You heard it here first. Now deal with it. Ok, as long as you can deal with the 5 and 0, Dever Broncos !!! Ya Dever looks good, but they get the nod for worst/ugliest uniforms ever with those retro brown and yellow clown suits. Inthend
I would be totally embarrassed except that that punk will be gone. Jerry Richardson won't put up with that crap for one second. And I know Charlotte, NC won't. We will play with honor or we won't have a football team. Promise that's our mentality. And I will personally raise hell if it's not! Sorry Tampa Bay. Sorry NFL fans. That's not Panther football. I'm sure you'll see the cheap shot on the low-lights 2 nite.
Inthend
QUOTE (Inthend @ Oct 18 2009, 01:36 PM)I would be totally embarrassed except that that punk will be gone. And I will personally raise hell if it's not! Sorry Tampa Bay. Sorry NFL fans. That's not Panther football. I'm sure you'll see the cheap shot on the low-lights 2 nite. This is what I posted about this on my local newspaper sports forum. Hey Guys, my 1st post here. And I guess i have Mr. Wesley to thank for being here. Anyway... I've cooled down a little since this happened. Local TV news is playing this down, I guess trying to put this ugly incident behind us as quickly as possible. Listen, it is important that Charlotte sports stars play with honor. I'm hoping that Mr. Wesley was caught up in the moment and lost all sense of time and distance! If I was cynical, I might imagine that maybe the situation of the game 'encouraged' him to take a chance on getting 'lucky' with the timing. After all Mr. Smith was close to his own goal line and Oh My!, he didn't call for the fair catch! (sucka!) and with only 20 sec. left in the half, a 15yrd. penalty would make no difference. I hope that sort of mentality is not taught to punt coverage teams. I certainly hope it isn't taught on the CHARLOTTE panthers team. I take pride in my city. And I know football can be a ruthless sport. But hey, you gotta draw the line somewhere. I mean let's not end up like Rome. A win is not worth the loss of honor. PS. - I was really pissed of about this last nite, even called in and got on a 'phone in' TV sports show. The host (local TV sports caster) was acting like that Very cheap shot was no big deal. They didn't let me talk long. Not that I was rude. Just didn't like what I was sayng. Told ya I'd raise hell! 2nd PS. - Wesley was suspended without pay for one game (about $45-60,0000 for him) by the NFL today for violating player safety rules. softfilter
Browns fire GM George Kokinis: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4616312 I wonder if there's a book out called "How to run a professional sports franchise for dummies" I think it could be a benefit to Browns Randy Lerner and Indians Paul Dolan. The whole Browns debacle make me sick. But being such a hot topic here, it's entertaining never the less. Like polls taken could the 1999 expansion Browns beat the current 2009 disgrace? Then there was a couple of Browns fans who met with owner Randy Learner to voice there anger, and staged a protest before opening kick off of last Monday night's game.(No one was suppose to go to there seats until after kick off. ) They failed, and like the papers said with so many No shows hard to tell anyway. Game was going to be Blacked out but a major brewery bought all the remaining tickets. Thanks Budweiser for making us witness this form of slow torture in the comfort of our living rooms. What pissed me off the most about last Monday, that STUPID last play are only star Josh Cribbs getting hurt. POINTLESS!! Game was over!! 3 seconds left, why the hell was he still out there???? Lost for the season.. all-pro DT and his replacement, all-pro OG J. Gross, starting ROLinebacker, starting Fullback, and all-pro DE J. Pepper has broke hand. But mathemactically, there's still hope.
