Rush Cocky
QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Jul 19 2009, 10:02 AM) Ladies and gentlemen, a whole new nadir has been reached in the world of commercials. It seems that some YouTube guy has seen fit to remix the Slap Chop commercial (hosted by renowned hooker-basher and huckster Vince Shlomi) and set it to a rap beat. The Slap Chop powers-that-be have embraced this remix and are now showing it regularly on TV. Do not click the following link unless you have a high pain threshold. The crappiness paradigm shift. I just watched this again. I'm still It's the dancing in the middle that really gets me.

Rush Cocky
"So I get it...these 10 sprinkles represent the number of people we can call on <whatever plan>." <and then the allegedly stupid husband dumps an entire vat of sprinkles on this tiny ice cream cup, and says something about Verizon's coverage, or something like that> An absolutely DUMB commercial. The latest one is a variaition of it with the 10 pieces of candy and the pinata. I turn from them every single time they come on.

invisibleairwaves
2 words: Koodo Mobile. Not sure if you guys have them in the US, but they have the most consistently obnoxious commercials, radio ads, and billboards I have ever seen. I've heard good things about their cell service and rates, but I refuse to help fund that ridiculous, irritating marketing campaign.

librarian
QUOTE (Mara @ Jul 20 2009, 11:23 AM) Can someone please explain to me the ED medication ads in which the couple appear to have dragged two bathtubs out onto a dock? Because for one thing, even Cialis/Viagra/EZ-Stiffy won't help if you are so dense as to think something's going to magically happen when you are in separate tubs. Hold hands all you want, it still isn't going to accomplish the goal. Also it's just stupid. Anyone remember the Love Toilet commercial on Saturday Night Live? I believe it's Kevin Nealon and Victoria Jackson That's what those commercials remind me of. Just completely ridiculous. not to mention a little gross... Thank god for DVR and the FF button. Sometimes I've even successfully hit it before one note is sung. *Also, the fact that people can remember the ad but not the product means it is not a successful ad.
