I wish they were coming to my city! Concord California! I have had bad luck for years trying to see YES. Either I missed them because of work or perhaps if the cancelled because of Jon's throat. It kills me! I live like 4 miles from the Concord Pavilion where all the big bands come and play. Heck, Neil even mentioned Concord Ca in his last book. He loves it up here in Norcal by Mt. Diablo. Anyway I have to confess on a YES Thread that I AM A YES VIRGIN!! It totally sucks. Heck the Scorpions are calling it quits after this year. I hope YES comes out west again!! He is truly the Weakest Link. Just give me "The Yes Album" line up. Weakest link? If anyone would be a weakest link, it would be Tony Kaye. I've listened to live recordings from the 90125/Big Generator era, and watched assorted videos from the same period, and (to me) he sounded like a one-trick pony - NOTHING like the guy that played on the first three LP's. It seemed to me that all he did live in the '80s was play some chords or do runs up the keyboard. He couldn't play Wakeman's Moog leads in "Heart of the Sunrise"; Trevor did, though, on guitar. Hey dude! You're right. I take it back. Can't argue that one. Kaye = WEAKEST LINK. Thank you!!

I live 4 miles away from the Concord Pavilion as you might know. I remember when when that show was announced and I frigging forgot all about it. I am still a YES VIRGIN and I should have popped my YES Cherry that night. Yet, I lagged and missed it. I FAIL. I hope I get one more chance before it's too late. At least I saw ASIA in SF. It was their last show in America before bolting to Japan so they played the entire ASIA self titled album all the way through. They also played a song from everyone else's catalog. Bloody Brilliant! GrandDesigner
Magnification is a great album. The Ladder as well. They sounded pretty inspired on those two. Can't believe it's been almost 10 years since the last Yes album!

It's such a shame they're a group of disorganised clusterf*cks, I mean, it'll be nine years this September since we've had any new Yesmusic. GrandDesigner
I thought Dreamtime was one of the most musically interesting songs they'd done in awhile. So many cool parts happening in that one.

No Jon Anderson... NO YES. Bottom line. I don't wan't to hear about Drama. At this stage, they should either have Jon at the vocals or don't go out on tour as YES. As much as I am a HUGE Chris Squire fan, to go out on the road and call themselves YES with Benoit David as the vocalist is just wrong. Just my .02. circumstantial tree
Then I'll pass. If you have ever watched the documentary, you'll agree with many that Yes should hang it up. If you have ever watched the documentary, you'll agree with many that Yes should hang it up. They are a seaside act, to quote Bill Bruford, and nothing more. I haven't seen Yes in a while...probably a good 8 years or more. I did see a video of them on Palladia last year. I think it was from their 35th Anniversary show at the Tsongas Arena in Lowell, Massachusetts (2004). Anyway, I was incredibly disappointed with the stage setup. Looked like they had a bunch of inflatable "things" floating around. Totally unwatchable and downright embarrassing...and that was WITH Jon. On the topic of a new Yes record; I wouldn't listen to an Anderson-less Yes if you paid me. Oh, and F' Mr. Christopher Squire...backstabbing prick!!
