priest_of_syrinx Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 Finding My Way It has the first Rush riff I ever heard (being that the first Rush song I ever heard was R30 Overture on Yahoo Music)
I Get High On You Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Being the Zep-head that I am, I gotta go with "Finding My Way." I just can't get enough of the way Geddy shrieks, "Hhhhhhyyyyeeeah, oh, YEEEAH!!!"...sounds just like Robert Plant, except better, of course Ā And, hey, whaddya know: that was my first post! Huzzah!
goose Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 QUOTE (hardstaff @ Jul 4 2006, 01:05 PM) I almost said Before and After... I did choose that one. Would love to see Alex & Geddy play it live!
Maddy Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 "In The Mood" - Geddy's adorable Percy Plant vibe always makes me smile...Ā (It's a girl thing, okay guys? )
nic2112nic Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 Man I LOVE Finding my way!! Every time I here it, it sends shivers up and down my spine. I'm not surprised that Rush had it as the opening of the R30 overture...
Kudzu Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 QUOTE (nic2112nic @ Aug 11 2006, 08:12 AM) Man I LOVE Finding my way!! Every time I here it, it sends shivers up and down my spine. I'm not surprised that Rush had it as the opening of the R30 overture... I increasingly love that song.
what went wrong? Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 Here Again, even though Ged is pretty incoherent. I think I've said that before. It makes me pay attention (I've probably said that before as well). Altogether a great song, though, and unique from the rest of the album...
xredsectorx Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 working man. it simply states this is rush, and they can rock like no other.
NobleEnoughbutWeakEnough Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 If I gotta choose song only... it's "Working Man". If I have a choice of LIVE... it's "In the Mood"
Azumi Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 What You're Doing is badass...except for the sound of the cymbal crashes on every 1st beat in the beginning.
RushDrummer Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Working man...right up there with Finding My Way.
Sangheili Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 Finding My Way and Working Man are so hard to choose from. I chose Finding my Way.
TheRushiac Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 hmm picking a favorite song on an album is always hard for me. it's always a toss up between "In the Mood" and "What You're Doing" . "Here Again" is a good thinking song if you ask me...and of course "the Working Man" is awsome, but that doesn't mean I don't like the other songs tho
1eyehaventgot Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 I voted Need Some Love, mainly because I made a cd (for my own listening of course) that started with that song, then went into Rivendell, then ... Ā The Necromancer Grand Finale (live0/Passage to Bangkok (not live) A Farewell To Kings Xanadu Hemispheres Cinderella Man Madrigal Cygnus X-1 Ā Ā and it sure keeps me rockin sometimes
wheresmysnowdog Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 here again.my introduction to rush its also one of my favorite solos there is just so much soul poured into it
goose Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 QUOTE (Asian Rush Fan @ Nov 4 2006, 01:08 PM) It is so hard to choose Ahyes, but if choose not to decide...
drummerboy Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 I kind of like Finding my way and working man.
