  1. Vapor Trails was my first Rush album, so of course I love it. But then again, I'm on the "I love everything they've ever made" side of the argument.
  2. I agree, the show was off the hook. It was incredible how loud the crowd got at times. I was on the floor (section 6) and we were louder than the guys were! Especially after 2112, Geddy could barely introduce Far Cry over the roar. The crowd and the band created such an energy, it was certainly an experience! I've seen Rush three times now, and this was, BY FAR, the absolute best show.
  3. Of course I am! Rush is not only playing my hometown (after snubbing it last year), but they're FILMING IT. And I'm going to be in attendance. This what we in the industry call a "no-brainer".
  4. I was in section 210, waaaaay in the back, but I still had a blast. I sat next to this mom from Toronto, and afterword she told me that I was a "wonderful fan" and a "joy to sit next to." Heh. I get all the ladies. Only my second time seeing Rush, and they totally blew me away. Especially 2112, that was beyond fantastic.
  5. After a good couple of listens to both the songs, I'll throw my in my thoughts. Oh my god these songs are awesome. Everything about them is awesome, from the music to the lyrics. I think BU2B wins it for me, because I love its message (I know Neil touched on this a lot on S&A, but I held... different opinions then so I couldn't appreciate them).
  6. I don't understand why everybody is so for this idea. They already play most of MP anyway, why make a gimmick out of it? I also don't understand the cult status that The Camera Eye has, nor do I understand the incredibly ridiculous amount of praise MP gets. I mean sure, I love YYZ, Limelight, and Vital Signs as much as the next guy, but MP is so over-played and over-hyped. Why is MP hyped up to be so much better than every other Rush album? What makes it better than Permanent Waves or Presto or Test for Echo? I may have a unique opinion, but to me all Rush is as good the rest. I honestly don't listen to something like Roll the Bones and think "Man, this album sucks." To me, Rush is Rush. There's just something about them that makes every song fantastic, whether it's Spirit of Radio or Dog Years. Sorry if I came off as rant-y, or if it seems like I'm trolling, because I'm not. I think we should all just chill out and enjoy the music, you know?
  7. QUOTE (mfratt @ Jan 29 2007, 09:44 AM) You are perfectly straight, but have a man-crush on Geddy/Alex/Neil This is hilarious, and sadly true. I would totally go gay for Geddy.
  8. I LOVE IT! *side note* 71 users are reading this topic. Damn.
  9. Really it depends, but it seems like a bad idea...
  10. I think you guys are crazy about Tai Shan. That song is superb. High Water is the only meh song on the whole album. It's not like I go, "OMG High Water! Turn it off! Turn it off!"
  11. All of the songs on HYF are top notch. Including Tai Shan, High Water, and especially Second Nature. There is not one song on here that's lame.
  12. It was tough, but I vote Turn the Page.
  13. I know I said 2112 previously, but my favorite album, by far, is Hold Your Fire. Every single song is great. Go HYF!
  14. While Mystic Rhythms is awesome, I had to go with Grand Designs.
  15. Close call between ESL and DF. WEnt with DF.
  16. Had to go with Limelight. Such a great song.
  17. 2112 for me. Such a tough choice, though.
  18. Led Zep was good. Stairway and The Rain Sng are great.
  19. Had to choose between For What It's Worth and Crossroads. Crossroads won.
