ILSnwdog
Tanqueray and tonic is my favorite mixed drink. Amaretto stone sours are tasty. So are long islands...and potent too. But the majority of the time its beer for me. I love Miller Lite, Dos XX, Warsteiner, Pilsner Urquell, and of course Guinness.
librarian
Whiskey Sours - but I only order them when I'm out, so here is a receipe from Emeril: 1 1/2 ounces whiskey (or bourbon, Scotch, Canadian whiskey, or Irish whiskey) 4 ounces sour mix, recipe follows Crushed ice 1 maraschino cherry Combine the whiskey and sour mix in a large old-fashioned glass with ice. Stir, garnish with cherry, and serve. Sour Mix: 1-ounce lemon juice 1-ounce sugar 2 ounces water Combine lemon juice and sugar, then dilute with water and stir to dissolve sugar. Yield: 4 ounces Or you can buy sour mix at the supermarket, even....

Jack Aubrey
QUOTE (librarian @ Apr 9 2008, 05:29 PM) Wait! I've got another one... A Bloody Mary is a nice change from all the sweet drinks out there. I use: V8 or Tomato Juice Mr. Mrs. T Bloody Mary Mix Vodka Celery Stick Ice Put in Highball glass Goal: make it taste like tomato juice with a kick. I love a good Bloody Mary. The only thing I would add to your recipe is a couple of dashes of black pepper.

-D-RocK-
Get a load of this, In Dawson City Yukon, one can order a Sour-Toe Whiskey, which is a shot of Yukon Jack with an actual severed frost-bitten human toe. The severed toe must touch the lips of the person consuming the drink for them to receive a certificate. It's an old tradition in the Klondike capital. Sour-Toe Whiskey anyone? ozzy85
Yukon Jack... or a White Russian... or a Black Russian. Ever hear of a Russian Quaalude? Here's the one I learned: Vodka Bailey's Frangelico Kahlua ...called a quaalude for a reason. Goes down smooth, like a milkshake. Then there's Irish Car Bombs... Steevo
Pretty much always been a JDs whisky addict, from black in the early days to neat now, minus the rocks. Most others are either too sickly sweet or like rocketfuel, Wild Turkey esp. Used to enjoy the odd beer in my teens, from Fosters, Steinies or local lagers. Barcadi is very popular here, but rum really isnt my thing either. I also drink reds on occasions and whites with my meals. That pretty much does it. Serve 'em up... The Owl
I am mainly a beer drinker. But I like a burbon and coke (Evan Williams, or Jack Daniels). But as far a mixed drinks go, I don't know the name of the thing, but it's basically a Red Bull slushie with vodka.
