  1. I can't believe nobody has mentioned Mission!!! The S&A Live version is the power song on my Nike iPod. It gets the blood flowing and adrenaline pumping every time it comes one. Good luck, tubelobarchetta! Rooting for you!
  2. For those of you wanting the update, I've chosen my five(kinda). I was really hoping to avoid the death/Vapor Trails theme but school has kept me a bit busier than I was expecting, so I stuck with what I know the most. Here's the selection in a sort of sequencial order that I conjured up in my small brain: Sweet Miracle/Vapor Trail/Nocturne Ghost Rider Secret Touch How It is One Little Victory
  3. Here goes nuttin... 1. Vapor Trails 2. Hold Your Fire 3. Signals 4. Permanent Waves 5. Grace Under Pressure 6. Moving Pictures 7. Fly By Night 8. Snakes and Arrows 9. Hemispheres 10. 2112 11. Caress Of Steel 12. Power Windows 13. A Farewell to Kings 14. Presto 15. Counterparts 16. Roll the Bones 17. Rush 18. Test For Echo
  4. QUOTE (Lamelight @ Jan 16 2011, 09:24 AM)QUOTE (VaporTrails04 @ Jan 16 2011, 10:18 AM) These are all great ideas friends! Thank you very much! I've got a lot to think about. I was thinking about the Vapor Trails theme, but since it's my favorite album I've pretty much analyzed that front to back already, and I would like to "explore" newer territory. The Fear idea was a good one too. Thanks again. I'll keep you guys updated. When must the analysis be ready? I go to a production and recording school so we're on a 10 week quarter. The first analysis is due at midter(week 5) so in about 4 weeks. The second is due as a final.

  6. I love G2G. Still and Slipping are also great. As well as The Angels' Share and Home on the Strange. A pretty solid record.
  7. Hey all, back after a bit of a hiatus...doubt many noticed Anywho, in my Music and Literature class we have to write a ten page lyric analysis. The requirements: Pick 5 songs that share a common thread, be it artist or theme or both. I immediately decided on Rush and I'm so excited to do this but choosing only 5 songs is near impossible. Just wondering if anybody had any input or suggestions as to which 5 should be my subjects. I was thinking about analyzing the "epics" but, like is said, the paper is supposed to be 10 pages(12 at the most) and I'm pretty sure 5 epics would be impossible to fit into such a short length.
  8. Making Memories Closer To The Heart A Farewell To Kings Lakeside Park(doubtful, but if they did play it, i might mess myself) Stick It Out or Nobody's Hero The Enemy Within Kid Gloves The Trees Distant Early Warning Time Stand Still Second Nature Mission(overplayed yes, but i love the feeling i get from this song) Spirit or Freewill Jacobs instead of Natural Science Marathon Middletown Dreams Mystic Rhythms or Emotion Detector Scars ThePass Subdivisions Analog Kid(see Lakeside) New World Man Losing It One Little Victory or Out of the Cradle or Secret Touch Something for Nothing 2112:Temples nothing from Moving Pictures please that said, they could play anything and i'd be more than satisfied
  9. Hi friends, been a long time since i've posted on here. I wouldn't mind either way. I think to go with the theme of "Time Machine" they shouldn't. It's an exciting concept and i would much rather hear something from FBN or something from the "future"
  10. i thought it was a great movie. not very conventional at all with how it all ends. Rourke was amazing, he actually looked like he could've been "real" wrestler from the 80's
  11. QUOTE (WCFIELDS @ Jan 15 2009, 06:23 PM) QUOTE (mrbarlint @ Jan 15 2009, 01:03 PM) Just watched this on DVD and really ejoyed it. Pretty unsettling situation. I thought it was ok........the first half was pretty good and scary, and then it took a bit of a turn for the worst and became very unbelieveable.......5/10. agreed, the first half was very unsettling...after awhile i just wanted them to kill them and get if over with.
  12. QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Dec 12 2008, 05:12 PM) QUOTE (theredtamasrule @ Dec 12 2008, 05:56 PM) He's The Dark Knight, not The Caped Kisseyface. The movies will be better off without a love interest for Bruce Wayne IMO. It's too hollywood formula and stale. Wayne is most likely a psychopath who keeps very odd hours...he ain't no family man. Her death scene was powerful and showed that no one was safe in the movie. Loved it. Ditto to all that and Rachel's death will scar him even more and cement in his mind how it's dangerous to get too close to anyone, thus making the character a bit sadder and a bit darker. Plus, Maggie Gyllenhall is just butt hair-ugly and I'm glad I won't have to be looking at her in Batman 3 if it's ever made. ahhahahahaha agreed...she is hideous
  13. the first preview didnt do much for me but this one looks amazing. its gonna be hard to top CR but its gonna be great
  14. the episode where they get ninja weapons and they through a star in butters eye and they have to take him to the vet, Classic. also, oprah's minge episode was great. overall a very good show i think i can count on one hand the number of not great episodes they've had throughout all the seasons
  15. Iron Man- 4.5/5 The Incredible Hulk- 0.5/5 Wanted- 3.5/5 Wall-E- 5/5- great touching movie with a very real satirical message
