  2. Hi friends, been a long time since i've posted on here. I wouldn't mind either way. I think to go with the theme of "Time Machine" they shouldn't. It's an exciting concept and i would much rather hear something from FBN or something from the "future"
  3. i thought it was a great movie. not very conventional at all with how it all ends. Rourke was amazing, he actually looked like he could've been "real" wrestler from the 80's
  4. planning on finishing Frankenstien by Mary Shelley and Candide by Voltaire this weekend. about half way through both of them so it shouldn't be two challenging, i just need to get off this dang cp ....then its on to War and Peace or Shakespeare..i havent decided. or maybe something shorter just for a quick read...ok im getting off this thing right now!
  5. QUOTE (WCFIELDS @ Jan 15 2009, 06:23 PM) QUOTE (mrbarlint @ Jan 15 2009, 01:03 PM) Just watched this on DVD and really ejoyed it. Pretty unsettling situation. I thought it was ok........the first half was pretty good and scary, and then it took a bit of a turn for the worst and became very unbelieveable.......5/10. agreed, the first half was very unsettling...after awhile i just wanted them to kill them and get if over with.
  6. QUOTE (Storm Shadow @ Jan 13 2008, 04:20 PM) QUOTE (GeddyRulz @ Jan 12 2008, 10:08 PM) QUOTE (Storm Shadow @ Jan 12 2008, 02:01 PM) Rant by Chuck Palahniuk. It might be my favorite book I've ever read. Kind of a bold statement, but it's really freaking good. Chuck has quite the cult following. I had a co-worker who swears by his books, his favorite (at the time) being "Choke." (For the uninformed, this is the author who wrote "Fight Club" - from which the movie was made.) Maybe I'll give Chuck a try. Supposedly dark and strange, though... don't know if I can handle that. I wouldn't recommend every one of his books to people even though I like them all. Haunted, for example.....I loved it, but the first story in it almost made me sick. I had to picture it in my head with cheesy b-movie effects in mind just to get through it. I couldn't be the one to do that to someone else. i read "choke" and bought rant. i got a big pile-up of books to read because b&n had a buy 2 get 3rd free special on their "classics" so i went overboard. anyways i was waiting at b&n for awhile and decided to sit down and read haunted. i read the story about the boy and the swimming pool drain and ended up running to the bathroom to puke. many people warned me about that story but im not usually the type to get squemish like that, but man that story is disgusting. that said, everybody should read it.
  7. QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Dec 12 2008, 05:12 PM) QUOTE (theredtamasrule @ Dec 12 2008, 05:56 PM) He's The Dark Knight, not The Caped Kisseyface. The movies will be better off without a love interest for Bruce Wayne IMO. It's too hollywood formula and stale. Wayne is most likely a psychopath who keeps very odd hours...he ain't no family man. Her death scene was powerful and showed that no one was safe in the movie. Loved it. Ditto to all that and Rachel's death will scar him even more and cement in his mind how it's dangerous to get too close to anyone, thus making the character a bit sadder and a bit darker. Plus, Maggie Gyllenhall is just butt hair-ugly and I'm glad I won't have to be looking at her in Batman 3 if it's ever made. ahhahahahaha agreed...she is hideous
  8. 9-0 with only 20 rushing yards. proves we can win on collins back
  9. QUOTE (pedro2112 @ Oct 8 2008, 09:53 PM) QUOTE (VaporTrails04 @ Oct 8 2008, 09:01 AM) You know what sux? i just got a new job that i work 8-midnight monday-friday. so that means im gonna miss the Titans/Colts monday night game! That's why God invented DVRs. give me some money and i'll gladly go buy one i was thinkin about breaking out the ol' vcr but im not sure where its at or i was gonna have my parents tivo it but i dont think i could spend 2 weeks under a rock till i got home to watch the game unspoiled
  10. You know what sux? i just got a new job that i work 8-midnight monday-friday. so that means im gonna miss the Titans/Colts monday night game! it looks very possible for us to go 7-0 with the cheifs being one of the worst teams in the league and the colts still not in synch with eachother.
  11. QUOTE (The Owl @ Sep 29 2008, 11:43 AM) Holy Shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 4-0 baby!!!!! the first time either the Oilers or the Titans have started off 4-0 in the Franchise's almost 50 year history!!!!!!!! The last time we started off this good (3-0 in 1999) we went to the Superbowl.....just sayin Our defence is kicking some major ass. And Collins is doing a great job in place of Young..... exciting, isn't it? they haven't played anybody great but this week against the ravens should be a decent enough test. hopefully this will be the year and we wont end up a yard short from being world champs againg. The defense looks amazing and Chris Johnson is looking great.
  12. im c.weller
