anagramking
Pictures was live, but I included it because a recorded version wasn't available until many years later. Tough to pick one here, though the last three were relatively forgettable.
floydfanatic111
Brain Salad was awesome. You should have included Emerson Lake and Powell which was best thing ELP in any carnation did since BSS. Black Moon was great. In the Hot Seat was a disaster.
Der Trommler
QUOTE (anagramking @ Jun 12 2006, 01:14 PM) Pictures was live, but I included it because a recorded version wasn't available until many years later. Tough to pick one here, though the last three were relatively forgettable. I'd say Brain Salad but I still say Palmer worked just as well as Powell. H. P. L.
I'll go for Trilogy for sentimental reasons only. It was my first ELP album, and although critics hated it I quite loved it.

goose
Went with Pictures. I managed to catch them live late in their career and it was an amazing show. I think they were with Tull.

plodder
I'm a life long ELP fan. They were my first live concert in 1972 and my favourite album is their debut. The Barbarian is quite probably the most fantastic opening song on a debut album ever. Great band and well worth trawling around youtube for some great videos.
