I was watching the cross country horse event and it's quite interesting. A wide variety of jumps and surfaces and the designer made some of the jumps more than just poles. There's a "couch" and "picnic table" and other things to add interest to the event.

Naughty Canadian women's football team using drones to spy on opponents. Even Arsenal doesn't do that.

It's sad that it affects the players who had nothing to do with it. The announcers said that their chances of advancing are basically none regardless of the outcome of any games.

Football isn't even in the Olympics.

Incredible. Six points taken away and they're still in it with a chance. The Colombia game will decide their fate.

USA women's mountain biking gets their first medal, a silver. Haley Batten from Park City Utah , managed to overcome a flat tire and bent wheel rim to place second. :bounce:

Been enjoying the swimming events too, very close races.

And in the head scratching department...why is Snoop Dog on NBC as a sports reporter/celebrity???  Funny but weird

I watched a Badminton match last night and enjoyed it, seems like it would be fun to play. Watching Fencing on Sunday, that's always been one of my favorites. Men's gymnastics is on now. I think Diving is supposed to be on later and that's another one of my favorites.

I think because he's going to be a new judge on The Voice which is also an NBC show. Colin Jost being on SNL which is on NBC but what does he have to do with surfing? At least Snoop has put together football teams and leagues for kids.

Polish-Chinese double-feature. Swiatek wins in tennis, Polish girls get bronze in fencing.

Colin Jost has made Snoop look good, what a hot mess.  Bet there are some reporters wondering why they gave that great gig to such a lightweight. I still don't associate Snoop with sports commentary, just me.  The NHL brought him to an All Star Game a few years back and I had the same reaction.  Guess it is just me, not a fan of his music either

So happy for the Men's Gymnastics to break the medal drought, last won a medal in 2008.  Couple of the guys have overcome some injuries and personal setbacks to be there.  Bronze is great.  Tonight looking forward to the Women to bring home a Gold with Biles and Suni coming back from health issues too.  Go USA!!

Love  the Olympic Games !!!   Winter Games > Summer Games but both are good.

LA for 2028 Summer

Salt Lake City for 2034 Winter

If I'm still here in 2034, I'll be at SLC.

About eight years ago, I was watching the Olympics I believe in Korea, or maybe Russia, and biathlon came on. I had never seen it before and I couldn’t understand why the announcer was losing his mind. But he piqued my interest just enough to keep looking into it and now I’ve become totally hooked. So much so that we are planning a trip to Norway next year for IBU Cup event in Oslo. And I chat fairly regularly now with that crazy announcer on Twitter!

The nerdy one with the glasses is from right next-door in Worcester,  and Fred Richard apparently trains at a gym in my route area. I just noticed a huge sign for him yesterday hanging on the side of the building.

Volleyball. Poland 3 Brazil 2 Would've been nice to get the full three points, but quarterfinals are secured. And the 4-men rowing team wins bronze.

It was such a beautiful thread. What did you have to bring his name up for?

Girls are also 2-0 after a win over Kenya.
