I just read this.....

Team USA has confirmed that it will bring its own air conditioning units for American athletes to use in their rooms in the Olympic Village at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics. The news came after games organizers said no AC would be provided in the accommodation.

Are Paris and the Olympic Committee still adhering to having no air conditioning for the athletes' housing?

France lol

The new Olympic motto:   From each according to their abilities to each according to their needs.    What's next, not keeping score?

Keeping score is discriminatory and promotes ableism.

Everybody gets gold. To quote LABT, "That's fair". Although I don't think that's what he meant.

Nah, I'm in favor of keeping score.

They even keep score in soccer, if it happens.

The U.S. bringing their own A/C units has exponentially accelerated the melting of the polar ice caps. Won't someone think of the winter Olympians?

That Argentina equalizer against Marocco was crazy.     :explode:

Never mind. It was offside. As decided an hour later, after every fan was thrown out of the stadium. :explode: :explode:

If we survive till then, they won't be able to use heat, and we'll call it even.

I'm bombed out by the erasing of the 50km walk from the schedule. That's one gold right there.   :eh:

Ever since Norm McDonald died, momentum for the Summer Biathlon...running the 100 meter dash and then fishing...has stalled.

Love  the Olympic Games !!!   Winter Games > Summer Games but both are good.

LA for 2028 Summer

Salt Lake City for 2034 Winter

If I'm still here in 2034, I'll be at SLC.

And if it ends in a nil-nil tie, they still get points.

Depends on what happened in the first leg.
