grep Posted November 19, 2023 Posted November 19, 2023 (edited) Gone at 72. He sang on their first record. https://consequence.net/2023/11/charlie-dominici-former-dream-theater-singer-dies/ Edited November 19, 2023 by grep
treeduck Posted November 19, 2023 Posted November 19, 2023 I didn't think he'd be that old, he's nearly as old as Ozzy. RIP
J2112YYZ Posted November 19, 2023 Posted November 19, 2023 I was surprised to see how old he was when I first read about this. I knew he was older than the rest of the band but didn't know he had over 15 years on them. That would have put him at 38 around the time WDADU came out. That was probably one of the reasons he was let go. I never had an issue with his voice and think the album has some really strong songs on it. RIP 1
BigMontanaSKY Posted November 19, 2023 Posted November 19, 2023 Be happy for him, he lived his dreams. 1

Like it's not the first album I think of when someone says "Dream Theater", but it's also far from my least favourite in their discography 2
bluefox4000 Posted November 19, 2023 Posted November 19, 2023 RIP Charlie. i hardly play the debut but he still was an important part of DT's history. I was actually sad at this one. given DT's a top 10 band. they're all one big family in my eyes. Mick 1
