HAPPY 50th to this incredible album

It's the first Led Zep album I ever bought, after reading Stephen Davis's Hammer of the Gods on a whim. I found the cassette in the remaindered bin (remember the little notches they used to cut into the plastic housing?) at Music Land; I think it was $2.99.

I've loved "The Ocean" straightaway; "The Song Remains the Same" and "Over the Hills and Far Away" grew on me and are now some of my favorites. I'll confess I've never much enjoyed "No Quarter" -- and certainly not the twenty-five minute versions of it they'd eventually trot out on tour.

Great album.

Not at all.  It was her idea....

I've kept this ad from Billboard Magazine for 50 years now.   Dated April 1973.

Still gives me goosebumps.

It took me a lot of years to really listen to this track closely, but once I did, wow!  Like you say, the music gives me  me-bumps.

I think as the years go by, respect for this album keeps growing. Think i'll go and pop it on.
