Honestly I don't like Sgt Pepper, I hate the Kite song.

Meanwhile, I'm a huge Doors fan and I love this song a huge amount.

The Doors.

Strange matchup...Bertolt Brecht/Kurt Weil vs. John Lennon. I'm giving John the nod here, as I enjoy the strangeness of Mr. Kite quite a bit. Now, put Weil/Brecht's Max (Mack!) the Knife against Paul's Maxwell's Silver Hammer, and I like Weil/Brecht in that one. Edited by goose

If any song by The Doors is an acid trip, it's the title track to The Soft Parade and maybe Not To Touch The Earth.

Soft Parade is the bomb.

Every Doors album and song for me is the shizzle! I bloody love them to death!

Honest to god, the sixties for me belongs almost exclusively to The Beatles and The Doors. And you know what? I'd take the entire body of Morrison era-Doors over all Beatles material post-Revolver, with the exception of the White Album.

I know that's sacrilege...lol...but The Doors are one of my many obsessions!

I don't know why I thought this might not be a blowout. Both songs are great to my ears. I sided with the Beatles here because Kite is slightly more colorful to my ears.

I feel an urge to revisit Sgt Pepper now

Which parts don't you like?

Honestly think the album is utter wank, but I'm not a fan of most of the drug infused rock of that year. Lol

Oh, lol. Well maybe something will click today? I've always thought Fixing A Hole is a very easy song to like.

I love the title track

But the rest I hate.

Take the songs I love, you have a grand EP.

I prefer MMT

Whiskey Bar is pretty straight ahead, really.

It just seems utterly strange to me.

"...A cobra on my left

Leopard on my right, yeah..."

"When all else fails, we can whip the horses eyes and make them sleep...and cry"

Back there when I was in seminary school

There was a person who put forth the proposition

That you can petition the Lord with prayer

Petition the Lord with prayer, petition the Lord with prayer

You CANNOT petition the Lord with prayer!
