It's because of the recent George Floyd-BLM protests. I think it's an innocuous connection but whatever. One thing I do know though, if Lynch Mob had been a super successful money-maker of a band there's no way they'd be dropping the name. At this point though Lynch Mob is just another of Lynch's obscure side projects so it's easy to get rid of.

The (Dixie) Chicks

If Steve Morse goes out on tour with The Dixie Dregs in the possible future, will they just be known as The Dregs?

They've already been called the Dregs.

so he's just calling it "lynch"? or just "mob"? can we get this in SOCN?

He's just going to drop the whole band. He's got so many other projects it's not going to make any difference to him really. And it wasn't exactly a money maker even in 1990. He'll probably form three new bands to make up for it and all of them will feature current and former Lynch Mob members. Lynch's projects are even more numerous and confusing than Mike Portnoy's.

Lynch Mob is the only other project I know from him outside of Dokken.

Some of his projects are worth checking out...others, not so much. I like KXM, Ultraphonix and Dirty Shirley.

Great guitarist. I wonder what might have happened if he had beaten Randy Rhoads out for the Ozzy gig. Does Ozzy's solo career ever get off the ground? Does Quiet Riot ever break in the US?

And does Jake E Lee ever escape from the LA club circuit?
