Lorraine
It's not an 80s tune, but it reminds me of the early 80s and I love it. Heard it this morning in the supermarket. :musicnote: ...I came back to let you know Got a thing for you and I can't let go... :musicnote: :7up:

Rhyta
Here's a Canadian singer I just remembered, Jane Child. Crazy hairdo but really good player, too bad she was a one hit wonder. Edited April 8, 2020 by Rhyta
Rhyta
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2PXZ0U9FkM Okay if we are going to include 80's fusion here's a good one, Jean Luc-Ponty. I originally heard this on a show called Nightflight, an early competitor to MTV. I already liked him but this video is so cool and matches the music...

RushFanForever
For those who remember the Canadian animated series The Raccoons, this was the 80's theme song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2EJicGNelE Edited April 9, 2020 by RushFanForever

Rutlefan
I don't recall seeing this one (could have just missed it) but this is one of those tracks that perfectly captures the style of the '80s. Great track! http://youtu.be/ECiMhe4E0pI Edited April 10, 2020 by Rutlefan
Rutlefan
1983 http://youtu.be/OMOGaugKpzs Maybe the most misinterpreted song in history. I admit I'm guilty. When I first heard this I thought, "Oh, a nice song about true devotion" not guessing it was about a creepy, obsessive stalker. In hindsight, and in light of the current era, it seems rather obvious.
Rutlefan
I saw someone posted "Blinded by Science" so I thought of these. Thomas had many fantastic tracks from those first two albums. http://youtu.be/rG7SMKXtrPM http://youtu.be/YMq5QNAl2nE Edited April 10, 2020 by Rutlefan

RushFanForever
I enjoyed this segment of Stevie Wonder ('Go Home'), Howard Jones ('What Is Love'), Herbie Hancock ('Rockit'), and Thomas Dolby ('She Blinded Me With Science') at the 1985 Grammy Awards performing this instrumental synthesizer medley of their hit songs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-NgnympxAE

Same goes for The One I Love. Stipe called it the ugliest song he’s written. This song is relevant AF.
Krystal
Remember these 2 clowns? I just saw them on tv. They played this song at least 20 times on How I Met Your Mother.
invisible airwave
Remember these 2 clowns? I just saw them on tv. They played this song at least 20 times on How I Met Your Mother. Ironically, it became a hit in the 90s because of Benny And Joon.
