rocket ignites
I'm pretty standard, but my "go to" would be a basic bacon cheeseburger. That said, I'm fine with lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, etc. One rule...NO raw onions.
Lucas
It depends on the burger: Black bean burgers are good with just some lettuce and tomato - or ketchup Beef or buffalo burgers are great with onions chopped up and put right in the meat .. Lettuce, tomato and avocado are greatIt's early but I'm surprised there isn't a vote for avocado. It's not my first choice but it is good stuff. Ever have a rice burger (rice is used for the bun instead of bread)? Saw something recently where it's becoming more of a trend in North America. It's been a normal thing out here for a long time. It's okay but I'm never satisfied with them. It's not filling enough. And the rice will crumble (slightly to a lot) no matter how toasted or grilled it is. That is something I will definitely try JB, thanks ... I don't eat wheat/gluten, so the rice bun will be perfect

The shredded beef suits the rice better than a hamburger patty would I think. Still, it's a bit of a small portion...but who knows how massive it'd be stateside though (where most restaurant portions seem pretty big). JohnnyBlaze
No Mayo, Not happening.Me neither. Many burgers out here automatically come with mayo so you have to ask for them without. This being Japan, going against the grain (even when it comes to asking for no mayo) can sometimes result in the cashier's surprise and them doing a double confirmation of you not wanting mayo. And trout, they WILL drown the burger in mayo if you don't stop them! This is a mayo-crazy nation and don't you forget it!! I'm actually serious though about the mayo biz.

I used to drink it out of the bottle. When I was learning how to cook (and screwing up left and right) back in college about twenty years ago, A-1 prevented my below average chops, steaks, and burgers from being a total bust. Thank you A-1! Hey, that'd be a good A-1 commercial/advert for uni kids who can't cook... Pic: Late teens kid with a dry pork chop and a bottle of A-1. Slogan: "A-1...helping your food to not be total crap!"

I think most places put it on the burgers. I always order mine plain except for the onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles. Mustard ect. on the side so I can put on just the right amount I prefer. :hail: Edited September 2, 2016 by troutman

Mr. Not
Lettuce Tomato Cheese Onions, and light sauce. If I get a burger from In N Out, though, I'll just get their sauce, onions, and cheese. No lettuce / tomato from there, it ruins the burger and makes it so you can't taste a thing.
