Can't drink JD anymore after doing too many boilermakers one night.

The smell alone makes me want to hurl.

I had a similar experience with Southern Comfort.   062802puke_prv.gif

Me too....I festooned a bridge with hurl, and then had to make my way across the bridge....and fell asleep in a park....not my finest hour or 6.

Southern Comfort is the devil's urine.

You aren't exaggerating.  Better named Southern Discomfort.

Just bought a bottle of this. I don't drink much anymore, but I thought I'd treat myself to a glass.

I HIGHLY recommend this to any Whiskey lover!

Including spelling it right  wink.gif

It's a right bastard being in Ireland with a bunch of Sweaty Socks who are incessantly moaning about the Irish inability to spell Whisky...

A cheap night for me is a half pint of Blackberry Brandy on the rocks, and 3 or 4 Balentine Ales and I'm good for the night.

We were doing boiler makers with a shot of Bailey's, Jameson's with Guiness for a forth of July party. I drank about ten of them. They taste just like a chocolate shake, but I was so wasted, it didn't taste good on the way out. trink38.gif  trink38.gif  062802puke_prv.gif

You're right about Bowmore - I forgot to mention the Laphroaig-good one.
Just wondering about the prices of scottish Whisky because here in Germany they're much cheaper than in Scotland.

Laphroaig-20 Pound
Lagavulin-39 Pound

Always makes me smile when travelling to Scotland re-importing a bottle.

For all the snobbery (and finery) of single malts, Johnnie Walker Green Label is my favourite tipple.
One to avoid is the Welsh single malt Penderyn. Absolute shite.

Yep....Green is lovely....and Johnnie Black is sensational.....and Johnnie Blue is so smooth, but too expensive.

Bang on re: Pendryn. It's shit. Such a shame, it should work. It has no nose, pleasant enough taste......but there's more of a finish in a Wibbly Wobbly Wonder.

Me, too.  I prefer Canadian blends.  Don't know why.  I also like a couple of whiskey liquers.  American Honey is great as well as Seagram's Dark Honey.  Fireball.

Or a Black Russian.

That's about it.
