I'll be realistic about it based on what they've done in the past:

Natural Science (at the end of MP, before Caravan. CTTH comes out for all the N.A. shows)
Distant Early Warning for Presto
The Trees for Faithless

I, personally, would like to see Nobody's Hero get played.
Maybe put Dreamline back in.

But it won't happen.

I know I'm gonna get beat up for this, but I'm sick of Natural Science! They've played it almost every tour since 96. Plus it's a "long" song, and it takes up valuable setlist time for other gems to be played.

I think they should swap Presto and Faithless for something else, leave everything else as it is.

Considering that they will be filming the show, I don't think they will exchange any songs that have not appeared on video and the set entry songs will remain the same. Unless some of the songs were filmed during the first leg, then anything can happen.

Hence these are the probable songs that might be changed:

Set 1:

Lock and Key for Time Stand Still

Cut to the Chase for Working them Angels

Where's my Thing? for Leave that thing Alone

Jacobs Ladder for Freewill

Middletown Dreams for Marathon

Countdown for Subdivisions

Insert Dreamline (with Lasers)

Set 2:

Insert MalNar before Solo

Encore:

Hemispheres (Prelude)/ Fly by Night/ Finding My Way/ 2112 Finale

for La Villa /Working Man

The only songs IMO that have a shot at being dropped are:

Presto
Stick it Out

hmmm, really?

In my opinion, the two songs that could be dropped would have to be:

Leave That Thing Alone

Faithless

..because they are two songs that aren't necessarily "gems" in my eyes, but are just a couple songs tucked in for good measure. In my eyes, they can easily be replaced. Presto and Stick it Out, on the other hand, are both gems that I think the band made a point of emphasizing strictly for this tour's purpose... if you get what I'm trying to say there. haha (may sound confusing)

That's just my take!

Lol...funny I think Leave that Thing Alone is a gem and they cooked on that tune. Alex loves playing that as well as Geddy. You can see and feel it. Presto sounded very cool but I felt some struggle with that song here and there. And Stick it Out just did not move the crowd at all at my shows.

It will be interesting to see what happens. I will be at opening night at Fort Lauderdale (Sunrise).

Getting pumped!!!

I think.. being realistic and thinking about they keep the video/pyro stuff

Working Them Angels ---> The Trees

Stick It Out---------------> Jacob's Ladder

Time Stand Still ---------> Analog Kid

Would love that.

Let's hope!

Time Stand Still for Force Ten
Stick It Out for Natural Science
Freewill for Nobody's Hero
Malignant Narcissism" between Caravan and Neil's solo.
Presto for Roll The Bones (shoot me now!)

If I have to listen to Roll The Bones instead of Presto at my three shows then i'll be livid angry.gif

My son would not, he loves that tune.

You would be surprised how many fans really like Roll the Bones. I know I do. The song is a killer jam IMO. And I have always loved Alex's wacky guitar work underneath the rap. Yeah it has been nice the last 2 tours it has been given a rest (it needed it I agree) but it will be back again I predict.

This song get's too much crap. It is a dam good tune IMO.

Some of these are good suggestions. Some are just not going to happen. I hate to admit, because I'd like to see some of the old stuff get played, but get over it people, stuff like Fly by Night, Finding, My Way, Middletown Dreams, are never going to be played. They are a VERY, VERY long shot.

They'll probably take out Presto because it seemed to be giving them all problems. Probably for something like New World Man or Distant Early Warning. That may be the one and only change.

I'd prefer Stick it Out, but it'll probably stay..........

sorry I didn't analyze this so much...simply

get Fly By Night in there some place!

I mean get over whatever stupid ban you have playing that song. Just get over it!

I think they keep everything else. So I hope they replace those 2 songs with any of these 4 songs:

The Analog Kid
Distant Early Warning
Mission
Manhatten Project

Please no...except AK

The Amazing Kreskin says..."No changes on this leg". Next setlist change will be on the CA tour.

This is what I am hoping for...especially since they are not coming to my neck of the woods.

I'll be realistic about it based on what they've done in the past:

0.000000000000000000000000000000000000 changes will be made.

Fixed that for you there...

For their last few tours they always make a change or two in the setlist. I'm saying two songs tops that DON'T have time machine tour videos. I'm willing to bet that CTTH will be swapped and maybe Stick it Out (this is my speculation, not what I want).

As I've stated before I love the setlist, I just want Faithless gone for Xanadu or Test for Echo.

...Oh and the removal of those horrid reggae intros. I want the acoustic solo on Villa.

Why no shot at Middletown Dreams? If Marathon has a good enough choice to be included, then I would think anything off of PW is up for grabs.

I'm sure i mentioned this before...

*Drop Faithless, and put Jacob's Ladder after as the closing song of the first set.

*Replace Time Stand Still with Analog Kid

*Replace Closer To The Heart with The Trees

*Replace 2112 with Xanadu

The setlist would look like:

The Spirit if Radio
Analog Kid
Presto
Stick It Out
Workin' Them Angels
Leave That Thing Alone!
BU2B
Freewill
Marathon
Subdivisions
Jacob's Ladder

-Intermission-

Tom Sawyer
Red Barchetta
YYZ
Limelight
The Camera Eye
Witch Hunt
Vital Signs
Caravan
Drum Solo
Broone's Bane / The Trees
Xanadu
Closer To The Heart

-Encore-

La Villa Strangiato (complete w/ original intro)
Working Man (w/out the Reggae intro)

Seriously - if that ended up being the updated setlist, everyone here would go totally apesh*t  yes.gif  I SURE WOULD!  1022.gif

Im currently not planning to go to the second leg shows, but if somehow analog kid and xanadu found their way back in the setlist I'd buy a ticket ASAP. Dont think theres any way in hell its happening though...

I used to think that I would want a tour with only the first eight albums represented, but I would not want that now even if vocals weren't an issue. I see the time machine concept as moving through time like Jules Verne's did. That means the future as well...to me anyway.

YES! THIS!

I didn't even know it was La Villa when it started up that way; I thought it was some totally random song.
