  1. As opposed as I am to this idea, at least Rush is open to trying new things, and I respect that. If it is true, it won't stop me from seeing the gig.
  2. Mine shows 66:00. . It is what it is.
  3. I hold no ill -will towards Adele, even though I am not familiar with her music although I do know who she is. And I know where trenken was going with his post, but Rush fans are pretty passionate about them so saying that Adele sold more on one album to Rush's entire catalog would be an apples to orange comparison to Rush fans. But that doesn't require the lashback on Adele for doing so, or that her type of music that is 180 degrees from Rush. I like Kanye and Jay-Z too, so what't the big deal? I guess it's the age old argument: alot of people won't like Adele just as a lot of people won't like Rush.
  4. Like it more now within the context of the album. Its placement on the cd's running order is just right, I can't explain.
  5. I like Nick--gives Rush a kick in the ass to celebrate their past instead of running from it. However, I wish they kept Kevin Shirley to mix--Counterparts sounds sooo damn good mix-wise!
  6. Count me in as a fan of this tune.
  7. QUOTE (GUP1771 @ Jun 11 2012, 05:10 PM) Thanks for the link! Watching the live video now! Yep, me too. At first I thought it was James Hetfield interviewing them--kind of looks like him.
  8. VT definitely--Dug all the songs on that while S&A I skipped Bravest Face, Good News First; shit pretty much everything (except Faithless) after TMMB.
  9. Sorry, but I don't get this whole band with orchestra outings. Maybe with ELO or Moody Blues, but Rush? Cannot see it...
  10. Jacob's Ladder Grand Designs Chain Lightning The Body Electric Should bring back In The Mood to close out the show.
  11. Man, Bastille day would be a great opener for the 1st set. And why not? since HF has recycled its riff (somewhat). Wishful thinking on my part though. Maybe if they detuned it to a lower key for Ged, perhaps?
  12. Loved the blu-ray concert release. And it really captured the night as I remembered it! Only thing I didn't like about this dvd was that I didn't make the final cut--was air-drumming, rocking out and swore a camera was focused on me, but alas, only made the cutting room floor. But I think I do hear me shouting "hey" during the Overture!
  13. Cool indeed. Had the pleasure to see them in Quebec City 7/16 with 115,000 other people. These cats are a must to see live!
  14. QUOTE (ReRushed @ Aug 2 2011, 03:55 PM) All are superb albums with Zenyatta Mondatta being my sentimental favorite. It also doesn't hurt that it has "Driven to Tears" on it. This
  15. Misunderstood the term "Trailer park."

When I first heard CoS I hated it (backtracking on buying Rush albums after being turned onto them by MP, ESL and Signals in the early 80's), only liking Bastille Day. But after revisiting it when I got it on cd (to complete the collection on that medium), something clicked in me--I finally 'got' what this album was about. Now it's one of my faves. Very dark yes, but underrated too...
  17. Along with RTB, very tinny indeed. If it were mixed like Counterparts (still the best sounding mix of their entire catalogue I think), then it would've been ballsy indeed. Bring back Caveman Shirley to mix albums!
  18. QUOTE (Scars @ Apr 25 2011, 04:39 PM) QUOTE (D3strukt @ Apr 25 2011, 03:32 PM)The same could be said for why Counterparts, or VT, or S&A sucked. What is this, I don't even... Who nose?...
