  1. Mr. Peart is merely a genius! Reflect on his works.
  2. It would be awesome if RUSH did ALL their recordings over using the 5.1 surround. But for me, I would like to see the quality of the CD's they did to the highest audio quality. Once Mr. Neil, Mr. Geddy, and Mr. Alex hang it up, we will pull out those old recordings, and say the usual, damn, this recording (not music) sux! Rush has the best music you can listen to, but the quality of the older CD's just don't cut it at all. RUSH=10, audio quality=10, enough said!
  3. QUOTE (LyndseyG @ Dec 30 2011, 07:31 AM) If I bought a US import, would it play on a UK player? Sorry, but I have no idea. Good luck.
  4. The Instrument Technicians are probably the best part for me. The bass tech goes through all the basses Mr. Geddy plays during the concert and for what song. Shows preshow warmup bass. Shows them stringing the instruments. The drum tech shows the drumset for Mr. Neil's preshow warmup, and setup of the main drumset. Just an awesome DVD!
  5. I first watched some of the content of this DVD on Youtube. It was really interesting. So I ordered it off Amazon, and this DVD of RUSH 'roadiedom' is totally awesome. If you are a true RUSH fan, get it without hesitation, you will love it. It has 2 DVD's. The first DVD has 2 parts, Sound, and then Lights. The second DVD has 3 parts, Instrument Technicians, Video, and Road Manager. It really goes into depth on each aspect. This is the best documentary I have seen on this topic, and they did it on RUSH! Can't get any better than that! It was done in '08 during the Snakes & Arrows tour, and is 250 minutes long. The best parts to me were not on Youtube. The title is 'Backstage Secrets', On The Road With One Of The World's Biggest Names In Rock....RUSH!
  6. I totally agree with you 'earth2112shine'. I've always wanted to hear Mr. Geddy 'indulge' more. Mr. Geddy, Mr. Alex, & Mr. Neil, are incredible musicians, so they should 'indulge' all they want!
  7. I bought the DVD version (non Blu Ray) from Best Buy, in the store, on sale, for $14.99 plus tax. The set list is awesome in my opinion, but I'm biased anyway. They could play whatever they want! Haha. The audio is great, and I haven't noticed any glitches with the video as I've read in other threads. They all seem to have a really good time performing for us fans at this venue. I really liked how Mr. Geddy 'indulges' on 'Leave That Thing Alone' and the 'attitude' you see on Mr. Neil's face after the jam session in 'Freewill'. Just awesome! My subwoofer really gets a workout on this DVD, and as mentioned before, the audio quality may be better than the S & A DVD, but I'm still comparing. I just wish we could get this audio quality on ALL their CD's. Don't know if the 'Mr.'s' read this stuff, but if they do, thanks for a great concert! I really do 'get it', eh!?
