Here is a personal B side set-list (Alex actually mentioned this idea a long time ago and I am sure Neil and Geddy said to Alex "stop smoking so much weed man"). The OP set list is just a mis mash of a lot of decent songs from the band some great deep nuggets. But I would think that show would be half full at best......lot's of average stuff compared to their great songs. Being honest. I love them. My absolute fav's, but not every song is live worthy.

Alien Shore

Cut To The Chase

Open Secrets

Chain Lighting

Vaportrail

Nocturne

Available Light

The Color Of Right

We Hold On

Freeze

Encore:

Sweet Miracle

Everyday Glory

High Water

I seriously doubt it. If so, it would have been in Rutsey days, I would think.

Well, thanks to the help and corrections of many of you, I have revised it! :)

Opening sequences: Like we've seen before, but something different, yet extremely funny, that only they could think of.  A Three Stooges theme song that was possibly never used before and snippets of never played live before songs (kind of like Closer To The Heart and The Spirit Of Radio have been used in the past)?

Chain Lightning
Face Up
I Think I'm Going Bald
Dog Years
Hand Over Fist
Freeze (Part IV of "Fear")
Different Strings
Nocturne
Anagram (For Mongo)
The Big Wheel
Lessons
Bravest Face
Madrigal
The Speed Of Love

INTERMISSION

Emotion Detector
Neurotica
Open Secrets
Red Tide
Heresy
Good News First
Sweet Miracle
Second Nature
Rivendell
Tai Shan
Roll Away The Stone
Alien Shore (with drum solo!)
High Water
Out Of The Cradle
Everyday Glory
You Bet Your Life
Available Light

ENCORE

The Color Of Right
We Hold On

Closing sequence:  Again, something funny yet finishing with serious pictures of the band over the years with instrumental music in the background; possibly written for this sequence only and never heard before by anyone. All created by the band

While it would never happen, I'd sure love to see it.  Wonder if a tribute band would take something like this on.

If I knew for sure going in that The Color Of Right and We Hold On were the encore then I'd probably leave. Why those 2 songs as the encore?

Well, I have always thought that The Color Of Right would be a great encore song, and felt that way when I saw them on the Test For Echo tour.

And We Hold On is the last song on Snakes & Arrows and is a great ending song. Moreover, it implies that the band are still "holding on," and as an encore are saying, "we are still here and are going to stay," even though this setlist may have been on their last tour. Meaning also that although the band may have ended, the band and its music is going to "hold on."

i wonder when rush made their cover album, why they picked for what it,s worth to cover? would have rather seen them cover like a hurricane by neil youg and add it in their set. trick of the light by the who would have been better than the seeker too.

Viturality was done live, I have it on bootleg.

I think Different Strings was done live same for Lessons, I would have to look it up to make sure thou.

When I saw them on the Test For Echo Tour I was pretty sure Virtuality was not done live. I would be very curious to know. But I am sure you have a bootleg of them playing it. I know they were alternating Time And Motion and Resist at the time. When I saw them, they did Resist. I would have preferred them play both. :)

When I saw them on the Permanent Waves Tour, the only song not played from Permanent Waves were Entre Nous and Different Strings.

Not doubting any of what you are saying. :)  I love learning more about the band here. Thank you! :ebert:

Zumbi has a thread of bootlegs and there is one from Texas, download it and u will see what I mean :)
Yep, Virtuality was played.  It could've been dropped like Time and Motion from the setlist at some point on the T4E tour...can't recall.

I know they played Virtuality in Atlanta. They didn't play Time and Motion. The T4E songs I remember they played were Virtuatity, T4E, Driven, Half the World, Limbo, and Resist.

Yeah, now that I think of it, I think it was played on the Counterparts tour too! Duh! Thanks!

Yeah, Alien Shore definitely. I was very surprised that was not played live.

CP Tour they didn't play Between Sun and Moon. Nor Alien Shore. Nor Cut to the Chase. Yet they did play Nobody's Hero. Those other songs are far better.
