Lorraine
Driven surprises me. Geddy makes it look easy.
Lucas
The Universe Divided version of Grand Finale is off the charts, as is the solo section in Working Man - Geddy is completely into the moment on these songs and doing what comes natural The first song / set bass line that always comes to mind for me though is Circumstances

djflex
Perhaps not his most intricate, but 2 of my favs are the pass and cygnus... Just a good bass riff in each

HemiBeers
Paging EagleMoon, Lorraine has a bass question. LaVilla is at the top of my list, since he's one of the most complex instrumental songs for each of them.
Lorraine
There must be other bass players here. Yesterday I was listening to a bootleg from the Grace Under Pressure tour. When I heard Kid Gloves, it sounded to me, especially in one part, as if it would be hard to play. La Villa is an amazing song. I listened to it yesterday for the first time in a while and it sounded more amazing than ever. :) Edited December 19, 2015 by Lorraine
Thunder Bay Rush
I heard Geddy once say that La Villa was "very difficult" to play at first... "a real bitch," he said.
Fridge
Turn the Page is an example of a complex line that would be difficult to sing at the same time. I can play it without vocals, but when I try to sing....forget it.

Lorraine
Instead of just naming the songs, can you tell what it is that makes it so hard to play?
EagleMoon
Instead of just naming the songs, can you tell what it is that makes it so hard to play? That's a loaded question. Hard to explain without knowing some music theory.

snowdogged
Why start a topic about Geddy's fish? Why not?You got a point when you look at most of the other threads started in the Rush section. At least a thread about Geddy's fish hasn't already been made over a thousand times. Lorraine
But, that brings up an important question. Is Geddy a fisherman? Has anyone ever caught him with a fishing rod in his hand trying to catch some of Canada's finest fish?
