Rock'in, beautiful and playful at times. Hey its Jon Anderson so does that half count as a female singer?...

Segue Myles
211. The Heart Of Everything- Within Temptation (Segue Myles) Pretty much about as womanly and feminine as you can get for a rock album, this is musically flawless, and vocally? Let me just say Sharon den Adel has few, if any rivals today. Imagine Ann Wilson and Kate Bush merged into one, and turn it up to 12, and layer the vocals over a booming orchestra and metal template. Some of the lyrics are cheesy, but this album pleases on a high level, purely as entertainment, with a lot of beauty thrown in.

Perfect from Now On - Built to Spill (Stormtron) My favorite album from the 90s. A true album where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. I can put this on and just get lost in it.

I think Tales stinks and others love that one so there ya go. Tormato is great in my view and it gets better and better with every listen. It's better than at least half of Rush's albums... :) Edited October 7, 2015 by Narps

Tales is great. Tormato is great. Just accept, like me, that your favourite is another's least, and be happy! Tales hits me right in the soul...can't explain it, not sure why it even does. It just changed my entire way of listening to music. Tormato, on the other hand, is a damn fine Yes album, and like Yes and Time And A Word, I find it to be unforgivably underrated. Grace Under Pressure - Rush (J2112YYZ) The best album from the synth era. They combined the guitar and synths perfectly on this one. All the songs are really strong and it has some of my favorite lyrics from Neil. Geddy has one of his best vocal performances on this album.
