I don't have a photo of it handy, but I have an official MLB home jersey for the Toronto Blue Jays made with the name "Weinrib" on the back and the number 3. It's designed to sniff out the true hardcore Rush fans. I wore it to a few concerts and got some nice comments. Actually, come to think of it, Farid's wife also has one, as the original one I bought was too small, so I gave it to her and bought a larger one.

What number would Živojinović get?

I also made this 8" X 5" X 1"

I'd have "21" on the front and "12" on the back. That's what I'd have for all of them if I were to design a Rush team shirt

Cool starman - wood?

This one's pretty embarrassing - I thought I'd try my hand at acrylics. A painter I am not. I vaguely remember an art teacher saying something to me like, "son, some folks have the talent, and some folks don't . . . "

That's actually a very cool painting, toymaker! You're a better artist than you give yourself credit for. One thing I'll never quite understand is how subjective art teachers were in high school--makes me remember how much I hated them, haha

I'm sure some of you remember my Easter egg display from 2014. I still have it in my room (don't worry, they're not cracked and smelly).

Thanks for what you wrote. I actually do think the art teacher in question (she was a better English teacher than she was an art teacher) kind of killed an confidence I might have had. I don't remember her ever actually teaching us about brush techniques or anything; she just told us to paint. It could be that I was so completely girl-focused at the time that I didn't hear any actual lessons. I was better at sketching. But I pretty much gave it all up for years and years after. I'm one of those artists who can never quite get the proportions right. If I draw a face, the nose will be just a bit too low, or one eye will be bigger than the other.

I like it. It's abstract and yet you can still tell that it's Geddy. Even with no details on his face, you can see the shape of it and you can make out his hair. Plus you did the guitar very well :).

I think I have zero homemade/custom made stuff. Not really my thing.

Wait. I do.

I made a T-shirt once to celebrate my Rush-Dream Weekend of December 14-15, 1996. Dream Theater was playing the Birch Hill that Saturday while Rush was at the Meadowlands on Sunday. I blew up each ticket with the Majesty symbol and the No U-turn sign and had the shop put the design on the front and back.

I probably still have it.

That's probably the only thing though.

Oh, I do have the shirt I had made for the LA show. The front says "f**k You, Puppet!" and the back says:

R40

Our 40

Hour 40

Arf 40

Arrr 40

Stevie has an "F*** you puppet" shirt too (I know, I gave it to her), as do I. Must have been a popular item!!

I bet they would have sold a ton of those, had there been an official puppet shirt.

I understand where you're coming from. I struggle with proportions as well. I'll be halfway through a painting, realize the proportions are all out of whack, and be like "oh well, no f***s given at this point" I'm also alright at pencil sketching, but when it comes to using any sort of paint paint I destroy everything I touch. It's a shame your teacher didn't appreciate your drawing though. I say pick up a brush again, because judging from that picture you've definitely got some talent

Not sure if these count, but they were made in my home lol. I posted these awhile ago, but maybe there are a few that haven't heard them. Hope you enjoy.

This first medley was created using the opening drumbeat from "Animate", which I looped through the entire clip, and then added similar RUSH rhythms on top of that.

The second medley -- which was created first, and has a snippet of the "Animate" section towards the end -- is simply a mix of all sorts of RUSH instrumental sections melded together. Far from perfect, missing some of your faves I'm sure (and there are no CA songs, as this was made prior to that album coming out), but hopefully a fun listen.

What's wrong with this painting? There' a bit of abstraction there, but that doesn't make it bad. Phooey on your art teacher--keep painting!

Oh, please. That looks better than stuff I've seen on the walls at the Art Institute of Chicago.

I'm just listening to the first one now - very seamless cuts, and nothing jarring or out of place. This must have taken a long time!

My crappy bass cover of Jacob's Ladder.

Too embarrased to post it here. Need to woodshed a hell of a lot more than I do.
