In The Summertime- Mungo Jerry (1970)

I always like to hear this, it makes it summer, no matter what the season :)

I haven't heard that in so many years!

And that also reminds me of...

Motown back in the 60s was so incredible. I love it.

Supremes - You keep me hanging on, Stop in the name of love, etc.

Four Tops - Bernadette

One advantage of being the old f@rt that I am is I lived through the music of the 60s... It will never be topped, in my opinion

While you were lovin' it, I was livin in it, having been born and raised in Detroit, and hearing Motown at it's birth:

Barrett Strong's original version of "Money." Shorty Long's "Function at the Junction" and original version of "Devil with a Blue Dress On."

The Marvellettes, Mary Wells, Jr. Walker and the All Stars, The Four Tops (do you how we almost lost the Four Tops forever?)

My two main men. Marvin Gaye and Smokey Robinson (both of whom I had the shock of meeting while working a chump change job at a City golf course in the summer of 1969).

And last but not least this jewel: "Does Your Mama Know About Me?-Bobby Taylor & the Vancouvers, featuring Tommy Chong on guitar, shortly before he hooked up with Richard "Cheech" Marin to go on to further fam and glory.
