You've been to WI?!? Any return plans?

Yeah I've been there in 2010. I would love to live it all again, but my ledger says NO at the moment. :(

If only we knew each other back then! Did you hit the Miller tour... or were you nowhere near Milwaukee? :)

I was going to post a new thread about this last week,

But I will keep it here if thats ok. Seems fitting. Has any one here driven Route 66? I am sure back in the day we did at least some of it back in the day on vacation. At my age I really want to see some historical sites at some point. :codger:

No, never been to Milwaukee. I drove from Minneapolis to Chicago and spent a day in Madison.

I would love to do this. Seeing the documentaries of people who have done it is always fascinating.

I have seen many places and historical sites,

But I would just love to hit some of the back roads ect. and see things that a lot of people bypass.

I hear riding a motorcycle around on the back roads is a great way to see stuff ;)

I would prefer an RV and maybe a motorcycle to go along with it. That would be cool to hit the desert trails ect. Take some nature photos and stuff like that. :codger:

My states visited is kind of modest...maybe 10. My wife who travels for business is around 45. She's already done the hard ones of Hawaii and Alaska. I keep bugging her that her employer should give some type of bonus for doing 50 states.

Yep; drove on Route 66 in New Mexico. I scuba dive recreationally. I was in Albuquerque for business and when I had a free day I drove about 2 hours to the little town of Santa Rosa (I think that's what it was called) to dive in this natural spring that is out there called "the blue hole" which I had read about. At some point during that trip I found myself on historic route 66.

Shit, I must be mega modest. I don't think my map tallied 10. In fact, it's 8. I'm not sure if hitting 50 will be bucket list material - so far I have no interest in touching most of the South and some of the midwest. Flat humid places are whack. Would love to get loads of Canadian provinces though.

Been to all the states that border California as well as Idaho and Utah. My half sister and bro in law live in Utah so I've been there many times. They lived in a number of SLC suburbs but recently moved to St. George in the SW region.

It's nice, since my family doesn't have to fly there since it costs more. We can just drive along I-15 and get there in several hours which is convenient. They used to live in Prescott,AZ as well.
