Perhaps a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup later with SoCo and Pepsi. I'll toast to the health and happiness of RUSH.

Surely this must be the worst post ever written in the ten year history of TRF.

What would you like to do, tombstone?

Burn me at the stake?

Run me off the forum?

Does this mean you want to elope with me?

I'll run off with you, then burn you at the stake.

What the hell people. Calm the f**k down. I make a thread about the band starting to slow down and members being in agonizing pain and it turns into a shitfest.

Like seriously, what the f**k people? Chill out and listen to some f***ing Rush.

Bring some marshmallows with you so the trip isn't a total waste.

I saw BRUSCHETTA recently who are still touring after 39 years. They came off soft, a little salty, a little cheesy but full of vim and vinegar.

Red Bruschetta is a sadly overlooked Rush b-side.

I just read through this thread and I'm not sure I understand what everyone was getting so riled up about. Seemed like a normal discussion to me. Edited by EagleMoon

It would CERTAINLY change my view seeing it live....speaking from experience. it just is a different animal.

Mick

It certainly is a different animal, and live is always more exciting than watching a video, but my experience has been that it's no longer exciting enough to warrant going. I was so bored at the CA show that I spent most of the time watching Howard do the lights.

We definitely had different CA experiences. I saw them 6th row in Portland and they were absolutely on fire and I remember thinking "I can't wait for the DVD of this show".

Well we know how that turned out. Wasn't even close to matching the experience.

What's the deal with the CA DVD? I've only watched a couple of snippets from it, but from what I've seen, it seems to have captured very much the essence of the show I saw.

You kinda answered your own question. The essence of the show you saw was boredom. The show I saw was a band firing on all cylinders.

I wonder if you would've said the same thing about the Seattle show?

I don't know. Here is some footage I shot in Portland. The rock was on full display.

I just looked at the same song from the Clockwork Angels official video on YouTube and both seem to have about the same energy level, which is about what it was in Seattle.

I guess we have different definitions of boring. Or I'm just easy to please :)

I bet we have different definitions for "firing on all cylinders", too. ;)

Bread. We found something we all share in common and now the earth is rotating again.

Sounds to me like it's just delaying the inevitable. :P
