I have chosen to keep my thoughts to myself.

But yes, the yodelling was horrific, and I didn't enjoy Tulsa either.

Buuuuttttt...I love these guys and would be there supporting them louder than Heidi screaming for her next bratwurst!

I will always support them. Maybe its best this is the last tour, but I hope they have the energy to make more music, even if the only people who enjoy it is themselves!

The lincoln show is A ged yodel fest. I'm sorry just being honest.

Mick

Oh well, at this point that's expected. I'm sure if Geddy was able to sing without doing that he would. No one has to be more disappointed then he is when it comes to the limitations of his voice now.

The fact that he even tries to please us is to be commended.

Geddy did say in an interview they want to still write and record new material even if they don't tour again. I can't think of anyone off the top of my head but i'm sure there's bands who release new stuff that don't tour anymore.

EDIT: The Beatles kept recording even though they stopped touring.

And that is totally expected IMO. They love playing, and writing together. In studio, his voice will be the best it can be too!

Agreed...I wouldn't say no to a collab album with a bunch of talented guest musicians...

Or an album that builds on CA with superior mastering.

Shame that Cream didn't break up before they released Goodbye...EUGH! Worst album I own...

I must check out The Band. I enjoy Bob Dylan, including his move to electric stuff...I am still amazed by how the tide turned against him back then for a little while...

Yes, The Band seem very interesting to me, as does their debut album.

Dylan was the folk God. Some people are stupid. He BECAME interesting to me when he went electric.'

that's me though.

Mick

Bob Dylan is very good, and I am ashamed to say I have only heard a compilation of his, never a full album. I know where I want to start though, so I shall get on it soon!

ooh where do you want to start?

Mick

The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan. It has some of my favourite songs by anybody on it, and yet I still haven't played it in its entirety.

Yes! Definitely do this. Or I can send it to you.

(Sorry, I'm just catching up with this thread, after a few days away from it).

I do lots of Segues when it comes to what my favourite Dylan album is- but this one is always at or near the top. Always.

Of his earliest work, I'd say The Times They Are a Changin' is also phenomenal- it contains my favorite song that he's ever written.

I only had one of his albums. It came out in 1973 or 1974, and I don't remember the name of it.

Could be any of the following:

Talking Book (1972)

Innervisions (1973)

Fulfillingness' First Finale (1974)

The first two of those are absolutely essential; the third is merely very good (just not as many high points, in my opinion).

Not to change the subject, but I am wondering Segue how you pronounce Segue.

Since you came here, I have been pronouncing it the wrong way. I finally remembered to look it up in the dictionary last night and see there are two ways of pronouncing it.

I guess they don't teach that stuff anymore - long and short vowels.

I believe he was putting you on.

(But...I could be wrong about that)...

If Rush had made Tulsa the only show. it would go down as one of the best 1 shot shows in music history.

still love that bootleg it's magic still is there.

Mick

So far, all I have heard from it is Xanadu.
