bobo32
You think just maybe that the majority of people go to a concert to see their favorite band play their best songs. Obviously with a catalogue size that rush has it is truly impossible to please everyone. Animate does nothing for me but others are jumping for joy. So what if it's the 5th time you have seen them play roll the bones. Just think how blessed you are to have seen the best rock band ever in concert more than once. I love the hits and want to see them one more time. I also want Xanadu, the trees, prime mover, fly by night, and so on but obviously my list differs from the next guy and his differs from another. I will never be disappointed by a set list as long as it's GED, Alex, and Neil up on stage I am happy. I just have a feeling that we have some great surprises coming our way but even if I am wrong I will be in heaven on the evening of May 14th when the boys come to St. Louis. I know it is easy to,whine and complain in these forums but either enjoy the show or don't go.

Snaked
RE: Animate If it's the R30 arrangement (slowed down and abridged) I'll be very disappointed. If it's full tempo and at least close to the original arrangement I'll be very happy. It's a great song TBH.

bluefox4000
Animate never worked live. it just grinds the show to a halt.......which is odd considering it's great on record. And really sucky set if true. to much CA Again Mick.
kevycanavan
Looks like a compete setlist with rotators to me. Working new to old.
gudbuytjane
I am going to be so pissed if they don't play the inner-track never-ending windchimes from the end of side one of Fly By Night.
analog guy
Taking a wait and see. If it is legit, then perhaps there's gonna be some A/B ing going on. I could also see medleys. Lots of medleys. The first time I saw them in '92 they did a bunch. I'm not terribly fond of that approach but I guess 2 minutes of something is better than not hearing it at all. For me, Prelude and Jacob's Ladder would be worth the price anyway.
Apollo
My biggest thing on any given tour is to hear something live that I haven't heard live and in person ever before... so if they actually DO play Jacob's Ladder, I'll be thrilled! I agree but with the prices they charge, there needs to be more than one song I have never heard live before. That's why I loved the CA tour, they brought out a lot of deep cuts and it helps that I loved the CA album too. 2/3 of that show was brand new material (to me at least) so I loved it. I'll wait to see the final setlist before judging this tour.
CaressMySteel
I put these songs in a playlist and have been listening to it. Makes a great playlist IMO. Throw in a couple of surprises like XANADU and Fly By Night and you've got one hell of a Setlist. Again, I'm not sure why anyone is disappointed.
USB Connector
I'm really hoping that most of this is just stuff playing in video clips. What happened when Alex said they really dug deep? This is the setlist I'd imagine them playing if they were going to be a nostalgia band and just bring out old tunes. Also, as much as I love CA, there are way too many CA songs for a farewell tour.

Rush, like every other band (really, how many times, if ever, have you heard any band say they like their old songs better than their new ones???), thinks their most recent album is the best yet. They may have had no choice but to pick the songs they did. As Narps would say, just keeping it real.

GotPeart
It is what it is. Not gonna worry about it. If this is part of the set list - then so be it. I like all the songs, so it'll be good. But I think this is just a smokescreen, and they have tricks up their sleeves. Just enjoy the fact that this may be the last time you get to see them perform these songs live and in person. Bhawk2112
"Well, you know I have over twenty albums of recorded music, very hard to choose one, uh, it's always the most recent child that's your favorite, but right now I'm still in love with Clockwork Angels, that whole album, and in particular there's a song called "The Garden" on it that is very close to me." Geddy - Juno Awards press conference, March 2015 No matter what any of us think, Rush is Rush because they have always played the music they wanted to play. There's a reason they don't play casino greatest hits triple bills with the remnants of Styx and Foreigner. Someone not liking what they do has never stopped them, and it certainly won't stop them now.
presto123
Don't know why everybody is complaining? There is something for every Rush fan to enjoy. Some fans think CA is brilliant.(myself included) Just Jacob's Ladder and Xanadu along with the staples would be worth the price of admission. Quit bitching and start enjoying! It's Rush for crying out loud:)
