Chicken Wings

Losing Super Bowls

Pro sports teams constantly missing the playoffs

Snow, blizzards, subzero temperatures

If you've never had chicken wings in Buffalo or it's surrounding areas, the odds are you've never actually eaten real Buffalo chicken wings. I don't care how good you think they are at your favorite wing place or what the menu tells you. You have not had chicken wings until you've had them here.

When I read the first thing in your list, I thought I knew... when I read the second, I knew you were from Buffalo before even looking

I have had wings at the Anchor Bar in Buffalo with my dad when he was there for the snow symposium. (he used to sell snow removal equipment)

I loved the wings there, but they are not my favorite ever.

Hardee's burger food chain. My hometown had the first sit down restaurant. It used to be a great place to eat. Now it's mostly shit.

Carl's on the west side. Don't eat there anymore since I'm deliberately avoiding GMO fast food crap now. Still have a weakness for those western bacon burgers though.

Can't believe I forgot to mention the Claremont/Pomona colleges not too far away:

And, of course, there's Mt. Baldy in the background. The opening scenes of Commando were filmed there. Many films were shot on the colleges like Real Genius and the beginning of Over The Top.

Not much around here…I live a half-hour outside New York City, though. So…museums, the Statue of Liberty, One World Trade, the Empire State Building, the Yankees, thin crust pizza…

Mmm, thin crust pizza…
