Digital Dad
I would never or very rarely put any songs on shuffle like that. Too many volume differences etc.

J2112YYZ
For the record, I never listen this way and I probably haven't listened to 75% of what came up in a long time. That's exactly why I enjoy doing the shuffle every now and then. Usually something comes up that I haven't heard in awhile and it can respark my interest in a band. Or some song can pop up that's just a fun nostalgia trip. The shuffle comes in handy when you want to listen to some music but are not in the mood for anything in particular. iPods are so 2000's. :D Are they? I do wonder what the new thing is? Listening on your phone I guess? I've had my 80 gig ipod since 2008 and it's crashed on me twice but that hasn't happened in over four years now. So, i'm keeping it until it can't play anymore :ebert: I would never or very rarely put any songs on shuffle like that. Too many volume differences etc. That is the biggest issue. You'll be listening to something that sounds great like Red Barchetta then next something from Metallica's Death Magnetic comes on. OUCH!!! MY EARS!!!! What do you do if that happens? If it still works, then you've gotta put everything back on it again. That's what happened with me both times. I'm not sure you would call it a "crash" because i'm not sure that's exactly what happened but that's how I describe it. Everything you've put on there is gone, so hopefully most of the stuff you listen to is already on your computer. That makes the process of getting the music back on there not as much of a pain in the ass.

Na na na
I love to listen in shuffle mode. This started way back when Led Zeppelin released the box sets, and I discovered many of these songs all over again by the new running order of the songs. I feel like shuffle right now as a matter of fact :D-13:
