What I found f***ing hilarious is that the takes a brand new $300,000 car on a joyride in a national park annnddd....crashes into a mule deer. Dumbass.

If you actually would have read ("Read. Now."?) what he wrote you would have learned that:

 

1) the wife was travelling herself

2) he needed to get back home such that he would be there to greet them

I'm kind of shocked at how much people are criticizing this update. I didn't really notice much at all wrong with it. America deserves criticism and I'm saying that as an American, especially after that pathetic shutdown. Regardless, it was a nice post and had some interesting content. But, people can have opinions, whether they hated it or liked it...I didn't see much wrong with it.

I'm not the biggest fan of Neil, with respect to the direction he's taken the band in, but some of u ppl are venomously harsh on him here, wtf. The guy's really opening up on an unprecedented level and u are beating on him? It is so refreshing to see him write/think in such a positive fashion and discuss certain subjects that he once would've kept hermetically-sealed from everyone.

 

And why the hate on his new high-marque car and driving it to a few national parks? BFD! I've driven my cars in worse places! And who can really predict when an animal is going to randomly leap out in front of u? I'm surprised he hasn't been taken out already a few times on the bike. Its about time he got a decent car- and he shouldn't feel the necessity to make any excuses for mentioning it. At this point he shouldn't give a sh!t anymore.

 

Btw, I could never abandon these lugs. Sorry to disappoint! :)

Stop automatically assuming that envy is the driving force of the opinions of those with whom you disagree. I had friends who were drug addicts and a father who wrecked his health, and all of them ended up leaving town and not coming back. So to be honest, yes I'm bitter. But I don't exactly give a crap about someone's car.
