ILSnwdog
Well, assuming Mr Fox doesn't get any gut-wrenching stomach cramps, then the sprouts are all his. :DDid you ever see the episode of The Big Bang Theory, when Sheldon decided that Thursday night was "Cruciferous vegetables" night? Sheldon was trying to eat healthier, so all he had for dinner on "Cruciferous vegetables" night was a bowl of brussel sprouts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qqbf4F0MHQ0
thesweetscience
I just don't get sushi. I've tried it numerous times due to people telling me the problem was I "didn't get good sushi, this is the good stuff" and still, blech. Some people can't get past the texture. Personally, I love the stuff. If it wasn't so expensive, I'd eat it twice a week. The salmon and tuna are better than the white fish and yellow tuna. Red Snapper (the fish ;)) is pretty good too.I love it too.

Del_Duio
That wasn't rotten? I'm not sure what it was but if any of you eat Japanese food on a regular basis it was a salad with this bright orange salad dressing. IT WAS HORRIBLE. No idea what it was called, no desire to find out again.

I can eat it but I don't want it

Here's another: Clint Eastwood's character's name in For A Few Dollars More was called "Manko". In Japanese that word has a COMPLETELY different meaning. The pronunciation isn't exactly the same but still... Edited August 30, 2013 by JohnnyBlaze
librarian
Other than elementary school hot lunches, which were horrific - When I was younger, my mom used to make chow mein burgers with a large can of lachoy chowmein veggies and ground meat on hamburger rolls. She and my brother loved them. I still dry heave thinking about it.

Janie
Duck..... Tastes like tough, dark meat chicken and fart.Lamb......tastes like mediocre beef and fart.Come on now... you must have had some shitty preparation. I'm not a big fan of duck, but if it's got a nice crispy skin and is med-rare, it is good. I have only had it twice while on vacation at fancy restaurants. Lamb I have quite often, and if you marinade it, all of the gaminess goes away. It's as tender as any beef I've ever had. Once again, it has to be prepared and cooked correctly.Seconded. Lamb and duck are amazing. You must have been served some pretty nasty dishes!
Janie
My mother's family was Polish, and they came up with two "delicacies" that make the list: Kiszka (as in "Who Stole the...): Polish blood sausage Czarnina: A slightly sweet soup with a stock that is thickened with duck's blood. Mom's house was near an outdoor market commonly known as the Old Polish Market" in Detroit where live ducks were sold. Yuck! Daj mi piwa (Gimme a beer)! Well, I like perogis!Me too. When my dad was still alive he and I would make fresh kielbasa from scratch, mostly for Christmas holidays. I would think every ethnicity has one man's delicacy that's another man's gross out.I'm Polish. My grandmother made the most fantastically amazing dishes. You put fresh cabbage, sauerkraut, or, basically anything deliciously sour and pickled in front of me and I'm one happy eater. My favorite fruit is rhubarb which is probably every other persons nightmare!

Same with duck. It's a nice change of pace. You know what is absolutely delicious? Rabbit. I could never kill a rabbit. Too damn cute. But I'll eat rabbit all day long.Come over to my house! Rabbits are everywhere!! I want to fire up the BBQ and make some sort of dent in the population. Actually, I've had rabbit and it is pretty tasty. Very tender.
