rushgoober
They sold 5 albums That's ridiculous! They've sold WELL over 5 albums! It's at least in the double digits... maybe even triple digits!
Smegger68
I heard it might even be as many as 300. Of course, that's probably just hyperbole.
Lerxster
197,249 as of early August. That's the last numer I saw on RIAB. It has to have broken 200K since then.

I think that's pretty good, too. If any Rush album deserved to be a million-plus seller in the last 25 years, it was this one - best album since HYF. Too bad albums don't sell anymore. This one deserved massive success.
TheWinslowOfWillowdale
Relatively speaking, CA is a massive success. I don't think they expected or hoped for higher figures considering today's market.....

goingbald
I believe Neil said the music industry is flipped today. It used to be that you made your money on album sales and broke even on tours. Now you make your money on tours and hopefully break even on album sales.

LedRush
I don't believe the amazon sales when the album was sold for $1 for a few days counted towards sales.
robertrobyn
I bought 2 lp a cd fanpack cd and digital.
JPRushHed
The question (these days) is not how many were sold, but how many were sold or stolen.
coventry
Neil said a while ago that they albums essentially pay for themselves and that's about it. Still, I dount he's too worried about it. Had this been released in 1998, we would have seen a platinum album. The positive critical and popular reception to the album is worth far more weight than sales. Then again, my income isn't dependent on album sales, either...
