Even though it was just a couple of years ago, I'd like to go back and catch Porcupine Tree on the Fear of a Blank Planet tour.

One show on every Rush tour, specifically Neil's first gig.

I'd like to go back to Nov 20 1973, slash Scot Halpin's tires, go to the Who's Cow Palace gig, and sit in for Keith Moon.

Yes, Relayer Tour.

Any Zeppelin or Zappa tour.

ELP, Tarkus.

Either The Who Live at the Isle of Wight or Genesis performing Supper's Ready on the SEBTP tour.

In either case my head would absolutely explode. I mean, it almost exploded when I was driving down the road yesterday listening to Apocalypse 9/8 at full volume. Can't imagine experiencing that live. In all seriousness, I'm virtually moved to tears watching the Shepperton performance from '73. I'd give almost anything to hop in a time machine and witness that live. When Peter produces the glowing staff; Hackett unleashes the wailing fire sirens; Mike entrances with the bass pedal waves; Tony weaves a marvelous keyboard tapestry; and Phil approximates the sound of the earth quaking... right then. I want to be there!

Alan Parsons Project "I Robot" Tour.

I don't think The Project ever toured in the 70s, Earl!

That said, let's go together to Abbey Road Studios to spy on the sessions!!

Whoops! My bad!! There really were just a studio band! Damn! What year did they ever do a tour? "Eye In The Sky?"

I would love to spy on Alan producing "Dark Side" too!!!

I've always wanted to draw up some blueprints of a Rock And Roll Time Machine. I know it sounds cliche. Too H.G. Wells right?

Anyway if I could build a real Rock And Roll Time Machine it would only take you back to a specific concert date in the past.

The lists some of us must have could be endless.

To start things off if I could go back in time and see a show it would be a Rush "Hemispheres" concert. Damn!

Perhaps Floyd or even the Beatles in Liverpool.

Since I am a Bay Area guy I would go back in time and catch every Day On The Green show!!!!!

Time is flying by guys! IT SUCKS!!!!

See what you can before it's all over!!!

Life is short!

I never saw Hendrix or SRV either. Fukk!

Time to hit the drawing board.

All this music collecting is starting to make sense.. The completist bastard's workin on a time machine!!

Pencil me in for 1976!!! Any Rush show with UFO opening!!

..and I better not be 6 years old when I climb outta that thing!! Lol

HAHAHAHAHA!! CLASSIC!!!!!!!!!!

My top choices would be

Camel - Snow Goose tour

Pink Floyd - Atom Heart Mother Tour (with full band :haz:)

Rush - Hemispheres Tour

Talking Heads - Remain in the Light tour

King Crimson - all of the tours! :madra:

But my top choice would be Gong sometime between 1972-1974 with Daevid Allen :haz:  :yay:

Tommy!

This is strange timing! I listened to "Atom Heart Mother" today during my commute and I never listen to this album!!

I like it but I don't think it's anything great!! I remember reading an interview with Waters years ago! Even he hates the album. He thinks it's a piece of shit!!

I want to go see Dr. Hook back in the late 70's ... I am reaching here, 'cause I really don't remember the date ... and for all good reasons, of course ...

Love, Penecillin Penny ... thanks for the lift!

I'm going to program my Time Machine to go into the future tonight.

I will set the controls at February 21st, 2013 at 8 pm.

Coheed And Cambria are headlining at The Warfield on Thursday. Two bands are opening. Russian Circles and Between The Buried And Me.

Perhaps I should set my Time Machine to 9:30 pm. LOL!!!

I like "BTBAM" but I don't like the vocals!!

Signed,

"The Afterman"

God when he created Earl's enthusiasm so I could sell it to Sheldon Cooper who needs cheering up because of what happened to RG3's knees. For they will never be the same again, especially when those NFC east defenses start hitting them again, over and over again those RG3 knees chiming like tubular bells as they go...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I almost sharted Pat! EPIC!!!! Your sense of humor never disappoints me!! YOU ROCK!!!!

I wouldn't use my Time Machine to go back and watch a young Mike Oldfield.

Now seeing The Outfield live on their "Play Deep" Tour would be worth it!!

Signed,

"Mystery Man"

Rushhead's on a vacation far away

Come around and talk it over

So many bands that he'd like to lay

You know he likes his groups a little bit older

He jus' wants 'ta use their love tonight

He don't wanna lose their love tonight

Signed,

OutThere

Allow Captain Earl to set coordinates to 51degrees 29'20N 0 degrees 11'52'W.

The date(s) is 7-9 August of 1980.

This time we find ourselves in London, England at the historic. Earls Court.

Pink Floyd is about to unveil it's epic masterpiece, "The Wall" live.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/music/sevenages/assets/events/art-rock/first-date-of-the-wall/gallery/1.jpg

As you sit in the crowd absorbing all of the sights and all of the sounds, (along with some added recreational activities perhaps) you start thinking to yourself,

"I've been to rock shows before, but there is something historic happening here".

After the gig is over, you leave, but you know you'll never be the same.

Back on board you go and you are off once again...never knowing where you will land next.
